Default I am going to attempt to do five Nishijin model 1200 machines at once

I had such a high demand for machines this year that I almost ran out of restored ones. So I am going to try and do more than one at a time. I am going to attempt to do five at once. This should save some time as I will be setting up areas to do different things, such as refinishing the frame, playing field replacement and rust removal. They are all Nishijin model 1200 machines, so that will keep it like an assembly line as I go. I will be posting my progress on face book.

Are the rear mechanics all interchangeable on the 1971 Aoi Umi, Gen 1, and Gen 2 machines or are there some differences?

They are 1972 or 1973 the backs are two browns and three greens and I am sure they are interchangeable for the most part It is taking a little longer to get started as you can see one of them was stated by somebody else and I am not sure all the parts for it are in the box.

Happy holidays Bill! I am eager to follow this project. I have thought of doing multiple machines (not 5, but maybe 2), but not sure how to go about it without having stuff everywhere and controlled. Would love to see your process. Thanks for sharing.

    Thanks Mike
I have done two before and it was harder but I learned a lot, on each machine I am using gallon zip lock bags numbered 1-40 and keeping them in 8 gallon plastic tubs, number the machine and the tub.

I've done 2 before. It was a model A and B. Made it kinda hard to mix up parts.

I have been thinking about doing 5 models As as well though. As I have 5 machines exactly the same that I want to turn into a custom collection. (But I just don't have the time right now.)

    100 machines and counting...

I got the other two machines strip down and started on frame repair. Lots of broken and missing parts!

I don't care much for face book, I think there are a lot of people on there just running around saying look at me! I just use it so customers can follow along on the repair/restore on their pachinko machine.

I had two machines going at once (Sanyo and Sankyo); just finished one up. It gets confusing.

I'm sure you have posted before, but what is the rust remover used?

Yeah that stuff actually works pretty good. I have yet to use it on any machine parts but I've used it to clean parts off my Buick. Very cool how it attacks only rust; its safe to touch bare handed and won't harm plastic (supposedly, I'd like to try 40 year old white plastic and see).

I picked up a gallon bottle at Rural King (some cool stuff there, none of those out west.) for about $16. And you can reuse the stuff multiple times.

I am impressed. Five machines would be to much for me. In fact I think it would make cranky because it would feel like work and not a hobby LOL.
