Vintage Nishijin - Ball Pileup below hopper

I recently purchased a pair of very poorly maintained Nishijin Pahcinko machines for $40. I am in the process of rebuilding one of them, (after full tear down and hours of parts cleaning) and I am having an issue with the ball tray. As you can see in the picture, the balls are stacking themselves on-top of each other. This causes a jam when entering the payout mechanism.

You are EXACTLY correct. As a kid i owned a Sanyo, the Nishijin Model B, is new to me. I see now in other pictures of restored model B's the cover that I am missing. Interesting that both of the machines I purchased were missing this piece. Any idea where I can source a part like that? Maybe its time for a 3D printer...

The lower track cover is commonly missing. For some reason, people remove them and never put them back. One of our members, Cardwwi, makes reproduction ones for $20 each. Pachinko Replacement Parts I don't know if he gives members a discount or not. Never hurts to PM him and ask.

I can vouch for these track covers, they worked perfectly. I was able to make one out of cardboard to start, but I never seemed to get it just right (but I read that some people have) and since getting these, i haven't had any problem.
