Congratz - Looks like a great machine.

I almost bid on it, but it's great that it went to a good home.
(I ended up throwing my money at another modern instead)

I still think there was only one or two pachinko machine manufacturers that had bins full of the different center pieces, ornaments and other parts. They built machines for all of the companies (i.e. Sankyo, Heiwa, Nishijin, etc) and put the brand name badge on the front. That is why there are common ornaments and themes between different machine brands.

I should have realized that because the back of this machine is very similar to my Nishijin B. Actually, the cover from the B almost fits this machine but not quite. I ended up fashioning something out of sheet metal.

I picked up the machine out in New York (near Poughkeepsie) yesterday. The seller was a very nice woman who told me she bought the machine about ten years ago from a church rummage sale for her son who was 12 or so at the time. The machine wasn't very dirty, just dusty. I spent pretty a lot ot time last night (until about 3:00 am ) taking it apart and cleaning it up. I had some more work to do on it today and finished it up around noon today and it works perfectly.

I'll post up some additional pictures later on. The ones from the eBay listing are pretty good, I don't know if I'll be able to give much better detail than those.

Oh, there were a couple of odd left over parts (that long spring that was in the bag with the balls that you see in the eBay pictures) and a small lever (that I will post a picture of). Hopefully some one will know what these are. You can actually see the mysterious part buried with the balls in the photo that shows the bag of balls. Oh, also notice in the bag of balls, there a ball that's definitely bigger than the rest. That made a nice jam in the ball chute, LOL! It's definitely not a pachinko ball, who knows where it came from.

It plays very well and sure seems to pay out a whole lot more than my Nishijin B.

Here are some pictures. Is this machine a Sankyo?

This machine cleaned up nicely and plays very well. I haven't hooked up a 9v battery yet and it needs a new plexi glass front. I think I prefer my Nishijin B but probably only for sentimental reasons.

I'm just now figuring out how to use the other method of uploading pictures. When I used to try to upload high res. photos directly from my computer, they wouldn't load so I would put them on my photobucket account, resize them, then imbed them.

This time, I used the paperclip and attached them but now they're too small, I shouldn't have resized them. The only one I didn't resize is the close up of the playfield which came out nice!

Mopar, here's a better shot of that part you noticed I was missing where I fashioned one out of a piece of sheet metal. Do you think this will work?

Here are some more pictures. I hooked up the lights today. Has anyone ever seen this power plug set up on one of these machines (the last photo)?

When I got the machine, the wires were already pulled out of it so I just soldered a 9v plug to it and mounted a 9v battery holder to the back of the machine.
