Default Okay to power the Pachislo with a smart plug

What is the best way to turn on/off my slot machine? Is it better to open the machine up and use the switch on the inside? Or is it better to leave the switch in the On position and just unplug it? Does it matter?

I'm thinking about leaving the switch on the inside On and then plugging it into a smart plug. That way I can just have Alexa, "Turn on my slot machine" and have it fire up. Does anybody know if that would be harmful on the machine in any way?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Just turning off a machine with the inside switch will usually leave power going to the power supply, so most people use plugs with switches or unplug their machines!!

I don't see why a smart plug would be a problem, but I'm no expert!!

I have my machine distribution board done by smart plugs as it saves me opening up the cabinet.
One for the pachinkos, one for the pachislos, one for the ball counter and ball lifters.
