Vintage Daiichi semi cyclic mod 15 min.
I was inspired by reading the posts on the semi-cyclic conversion and took a look at my not so favorite old Daiichi that had the bucket in back for lost balls, had to reach round and get the bucket, used way too many balls,
This conversion was so easy, the lost ball chute ran next to the bottom tray chute. I didn't even have to disassemble a thing!, I drilled through both chutes with the proper size forstners bit, squared the corners with a knife and hotmelt glue an angled lexan plate to divert balls into the tray chute. done! Now I need to do the same with the single pocket/tulip return chute and no more balls behind the machine.
the first pic the red line is highlighting the lexan plate I glued in to divert the balls into the hole I made between the two chutes.
the second picture is a shot up the chute from the bottom, sorry I had it full of spheres and took a blind shot. without laying it down.
third red is the hole saw outline the blue is the square up with a knife to keep balls from loitering.
last is a shot of the feet I am testing, the base is water damaged and I was replicating the wire stands I saw on some auctions.
I also stuck a cheap light on it to test. I will mount it like the picture frame light maybe.
