    Default Lion/peacock Challengeball

Over a month ago, I saw this Challengeball listed as a “pinball” a couple states away; I contacted the seller and offered $225 if he would drop off at FedEx; he agreed; then flaked on me. Over a month later; after I buy an expensive but super cool early 80s Samatomi he finally contacts me back; says other offers were less than mine and he wants me to have it. (the standing offer method WORKS!)

It came with 105 real tokens! Model and year anyone? Looks pretty clean; may not need playfield replacement? We’ll see how it looks with a bit of cleaning up! I’m up to 3 of them in a few months!

looks like you caught the arrangeball bug!
i'd say early to mid 70's but there should be a tax stamp.

Haha; I’ve had it a while now! Started off with my small arepachi sub-collection, but now its’s almost like the Arrange balls are finding me!

FB marketplace has been good to me the past few months! Just when I find a gem in the rough, restore it; another one pops up; my cup floweth over!

    Default Lion/peacock Challengeball

Works flawlessly. Low payouts however; only 8 coins for cheating with ball in each pocket. My other Isuzu Diamondball is the high stakes Arrangeball of the house.

    A Fuji....nice find

Has the little daughter board. I suspect you may be able to change the payout.

I found some more info on Fuji Shoji’s site. I almost didn’t recognize it without the Peacock playfield and lions… apparently there were different 2 model types with different playfield/theme and trim. Mine must be the “O” type by process of elimination.

“Sunseven” it’s called; equipped with 3 lucky chuckers!

How would I do that exactly? There’s no obvious way. I’m an arrange ball neophyte however.

Here's a pic of my Fuji daughter board. All 4 loop jumpers were cut with no payout. I connected them all and now have full 15 payout. Board labeled 5.20211205_073921-1.jpg

same thing was done to my taiyo "Bonus Line". one loop had been cut which disabled the bonus on the bottom number row which is the highest payout.

Mine doesn’t seem to have any wire “loops” on any boards.

There was a single gold token among the 100+ regular tokens I wonder if it was worth more when returned for prizes?

This machine has higher payout than I originally thought. When I cheated an put a ball in each pocket I didn’t score any of the 3 “lucky chuckers” there’s 3 lucky duck shaped pockets labeled 5, 5, and 1 that immediately spit out a token if you hit one; so conceivably if you were a perfect shot and hit a lucky chucker with most every ball a payout of over 20 would be possible, or at least 16. (All but impossible though)

if it's there it's going to be plugged in on the very right side of the circuit board with the spinning armature.

Can see the back side of it in your initial pics in this thread however mine has 2 little boards in that connector. Has all the wires from it running down to the payout.

No control chips there. Any other circuit boards in that machine?

Do all of your tokens say JANQ on them? I think those may have been specific to the mahjong games. Both of my mahjong (じゃん球/Jankyu) machines came with JANQ tokens.
