    Default importing from Japan

Sorry if this is in the wrong place or been covered before. I have family in Japan who can get machines for me but I'm trying to figure out how to get them here to the US, especially since there seems to be confusion over the new importing laws. Do you guys have any shipping suggestions and/or price estimates for a machine.

when kiai ships a whole machine, it's around $200. if just a cell, maybe $75?

    definitely not cheap to do.

If you're serious about importing them from Japan, have you looked into getting a 20 ft container filled with machines (wholesale)? You can get the machines for next to nothing that way. There are companies that will work with you to do that.

He came to me the answer to the Japanese yahoo
    "If you're interested in" Vicky Chance ", his complete equipment with accessories will cost: the handset itself - 5,500 yen, Chiller (cyclic)- 5,000 yen, a digital security - 3,500 yen, a rack-based platform - 1,500 yen, the information lamp - 5,000 yen, 5,000 balls -- 15,000 yen, Total = 35,500 yen. Total weight - 60 kg, dimensions - 550 x 830 x 350 cm "

What is a Chiller(cyclic), a digital security and counter-platform? And why does the ball high price?

    Sorry
has received the answer from the Japanese seller with yahoo japan.

"if you interests" Vicky Chance ", its full complete set with accessories will cost: the device - 5,500 yens, cyclic - 5,000 yens, digital maintenance - 3,500 yens, a rack-platform - 1,500 yens, information lamps - 5,000 yens, 5000 balls - 15,000 yens, total = 35,500 yens. Hello,

I'm sorry that I can't help you with your technical questions, it is something that I don't have experience with

But if you need me (or any of the mods) to edit your posts for you (after the 10 minutes) then just send a PM and I or they will help you, I'm sure

I mailed Kiai three times a week ago (to both known mail adresses) and got no response (not even an out-of-office notice). Is this normal or has he quit doing business? My request was for two battle counters...

We can still take an agent like japamart.com to buy things in Japan. Looking at their fees and commission the difference to Kiai is not so huge.

Japanmart.com don't ship pachinko machine because of the size/weight, but they can ship cells.

This may be true for Australia because of the 20 kg weight limit, but for most parts of the world (including Germany) the limit is 30 kg which should be enough for most machines.

I'm using Japanmart.com to buy stuff and will let you know how it's going.

I asked them and they can ship a cell or a frame if it doesn't go over size/weight limit. They cannot detach a cell from frame to send the parts separately.

I will post what I think about it later when the items are received.

I bought 5000 pachinkoballs last week and they are already shipped (slow boat).

Their fees and commission are very moderate (compared to Rinkya).

I also ordered three battle counters using them. They will contact the seller to include the power cords (as stated in the auction text).

I also asked them if they will ship whole pachinko machines and here is the answer:

If the item does not exceed the size and weight limit of Japan Post, we can handle it.
You can know about the weight and size limit on the page below.

List of EMS Size/Weight Limits - Japan Post

Pachinko machines are very big and heavy.
We are sorry but we are not confident we can ship it out using Japan Post.

In any case, we will have to reduce materials to protect the item from damages.
I weighed my two modern pachinkos: They are both 20,7 kg without the wooden frame which is 4 kg extra. In some auctions on YahooJapan they declare the weight for the whole machine with 25 kg so the values I got seem to be right.

With a 30 kg limit on most countries it should be no problem for Japamart to ship pachinkos.

Who is the first to try it out ?
