    Default Battle counter help

I've got a load of Daiichi battle counters and I need help finding the power connection.

The model that I have is not listed on Daiichi's website.

    Here's the version I have.

I think it's an early 'Taro' model

    Control box and plugs

Their website has a wiring diagram for the newest versions.
    http://daiichi.net/jp/products/catalog/dlx-1.pdf
    But I can't translate a PDF file

    004.jpg001.jpg

The lower circuit board has plug marked CN106 and has red and yellow wires (the usual colors for power)

The other plug ends are not marked (red/yellow), but a couple bundles do have tags.

    Image0001.jpg

    And the control box label

    Image0003.jpg

So, my question is, Am I correct to connect power to the Red and yellow wires?

I'd hate to see a puff of blue smoke and have to throw one of these in the trash.

Wait a minute... A blue smoke cloud sounds cool, maybe I'll go blow up a slotcar motor

I need Help I really do

The King Loo-G models that I have, also use the red/yellow wires.

But they are a larger gauge wire than the wires on the new counters.

I went and looked at mine and it is a red and yellow pair for power, 24 volt. the power wires are 14ga with all the rest being 20ga or smaller if that helps any

    That's why I have a concern.

All the wires are the same gauge, but I do have the one plug with red/yellow seperate.

you may want to open one up and see if it looks like the power input, looking at the traces and the board you can tell most of the time

I have a few of those BCs and they are really nice. Power IS the red/yellow

24v and don't worry too much about the gauge diff

    Cool, Thank you!

    What about the other connections?

Do you need the little box? Or does the counter connect direct to the cell?

I supposes I should get some some day! Maybe we should have a battle counter sticky for when people as clueless as I will be get them!

Nah ya don't need the box ^_^ Just use the 6-wire connector (the one next to the power 2-wire) to go to the Pachinko's output connectors.

Um... it might be really easy to take the colorful 6-wire connector from the control box, and plug that into the counter. Use whichever gives you the right connectors. I sometimes have to wire them up so that they will be accepted on the Pachinko panel.

they look the same as mine apart from I got numbers 501 and 528.
The control box seems to be the inputs from the cel. Plugs are either for 0v switch or current switch.
Unsure why its asking for 15vdc.

Draft FAQ (for comments) - Battle Counter Output Terminals.

I think you need to seperate the 6 pin plug out of the conrol box. Its labeled on the box in pairs.
    I will keep looking

Hmmmm my week on call, so unable to play.

    These are my two.

One thing I notice is that there is no fuse. If you are connecting to the 24vac side of your transformer. I would recommend fitting an inline fuse. I think 500mA will do. I'll check with a meter when I can.

Also had two other things sent at the same time
