Default New acquisition, please share some knowledge.

Hello modern pachinko experts. I just acquired the machine below and know nothing about modern pachinkos(I have 2 vintage pachinkos). I got it from an online estate auction for a reasonable price. Here are some pictures I took and a link to the site I bought it from with a little more info/ pics. I haven't done anything with it yet, so any information is appreciated. How to clear ball jams, what any of the buttons do, what year is it, how to open the front to get at the playfield, any initial first steps. Thanks!

Looks like you really scored on that one, looks to be in very good condition.
I'm going to follow this thread, like you I have two vintage machines, I know zero about the more modern one.

You'll want to have Google Translate plug-in installed.

Nice looking machine! I can't offer much at the moment but you can open the front by depressing a lever on the left outermost backside about half down the frame, usually marked with yellow paint. This allows the front door with the glass to open in lue of a door key.

After browsing the forum and watching a few videos, I was able to get this machine up and running without any issues. I'm still figuring out the gameplay. Can someone tell me what the number 8, in the pic below, means? I see that it changes to another random number if a ball goes through the Lucky slot.

The volume sure does work...not sure if there is a way to adjust it yet.

Name technically is CR冒険島, but it appears it has a couple of spellings

That '8' should be the sub-roulette. If it stops on 7 I think, the wings of the start pocket open for a bit, making it easier to get starts.

Thanks compirate, i saw a 7 and they moved. I unplugged the volume for now...It's very loud for 1 speaker.

Be aware that the audio amplifier can be damaged by running it without a load.

I disconnected the single speaker on a Super Sea Story ( mono) while waiting for a pot to be delivered and the amp failed sometime in between. I am guessing the machine was on for four or five hours max inbetween. I don't know, but I don't believe it's failure was a coincidence. Now in other cases disconnecting the speakers seem to have no affect on the amps. I have bought machines with one or more of their speakers disconnected, plugged them in and they work fine. As much as I despise the factory treble rich volume levels on these machines, a completely silent one is not good either!

I have a few other models of this era from another maker that have a volume switch. Open the front door and then the lower door. The lower door should have a tab to depress in the upper right corner. This swings open like the main door and might have a volume switch on the back of it.

Thanks, there exists an on/off switch on this machine where you said it was.

Mine are a three position switch with low, medium and high for volume. Work it up and down a bit by hand to see if you can feel a middle setting.

It appears to only have 2 settings: loud and louder.

Yes most seem to be nothing but loud!

Time to get a volume control put in-line on one of the wires. These three are used by a lot of members here. The easiest (and most expensive but worth it sometimes) is the last one which doesn't require any soldering.
