    Question Transformer windings

    ok guys heres one to get your brains going for those that are in the know i have a new form of transformer im testing and need some help

    as it has turned up im looking for input of 230v output of 24v (obviousley )

    the pdf data is below on the third page can anyone give me the wiring set up as far as my rusty knowledge lets me go (and its late at night) i need

    Brown = Live 240
    Blue = Negative 240
    Grey and Violet Join Together
    Black = Negative 24 out
    Yellow = Live 24 out
    Orange and Red joined together

    am i right or am i gonna go bang thanks in advance (Been a long time since i had to do transformers ect)

    doc your right on the input side but it depends on the output of the secondaries (not marked on your diagram and varies by the model purchased) as to how they should be wired . if they are 12 volt each then yes your right if they are 25 volt then no you go puff and the blue smoke escapes and as we all know nothing works with out the blue smoke ...

    Absolutely correct. These are the same transformers that I use, so I've just taken a look at the one I've got on my bench and it's wired in exactly the way you describe.

    Of course this is as Jeff said, and assumes that you got the ones with the 0-12 0-12 secondaries that we spoke about earlier...
