Evangelion 8 question

I have the Evangelion 8 pachinko. The one with Rei on the outside. It has a system where you can choose a character, and customize other options, and a leveling up system. Is there any way to save this from game to game? I know there's all kinds of other options but if there's something in game I would like to know. I know many Japanese games like Initial D, Tekken, and music games have card systems where you use a reusable card to save that kind of data. But I'm wondering if there is a similar system to this game, or something that I'm missing. I think that if you stop playing for a bit it resets to level 1 (or you can do that yourself). I have 10 also, and I think it uses something similar. Anyway, I'm just curious.

Yeah there is a QR code screen and also a password entry. Are these linked to the internet in some way? I can't imagine that they work that differently that many other modern machines so I'd like to know if I can still use these features.

I used to be able to do all that on the Eva 8 and some others using the Sankyo app - Powacomi or something like that. But, at some point a couple years back the app said that it stopped supporting the Eva 8 machine. SO - no way to do it anymore.
