What machine is it? do the lights in or above the buttons come on? Is there an aftermarket auto stop board installed? with the door open looking at the main board, when you press the buttons do you see led's going on and off?

is your stsrt lever centering properly. if it doedn't go back to center the stop buttons won't work.

your contacts on the buttons may need cleaning too.

Usually if the start knob is worn it will have some sideways motion like it's loose, this can cause the metal contact to touch the sensor and short it out.Are the stop buttons connected to the terminals on the curcuit board.Check to see if there is an aftermarket autostop curcuit connected to the stop board. The stop board is a lttle curcuit board about 4x6" on the side by the reels, the ribbon cable should be directly connected to it and not to another terminal first. If it is to another curcuit first ,thats the autostop. If it is an autostop diconnect it and connect the ribbon to the stopboard direct and see if that helps.

there is not other board in the machine... the lever seems like it centers and does not appear to be sloppy or misaligned

i was messing around with it and somehow a screw landed in the coin hopper and jammed the machanism... grrrr now the machine doesnt work at all as it has to pay out and cant... I found a 1 amp fuse burned out in a small board on the back of the machine... i dont know if this is for the coin mechanism or the stop reels... things are going the wrong way with my first machine...

Just pull the hopper out and empty it of all tokens and see if you can find the screw. The top of the hoppers will unscrew or twist off exposeing the spinner and should see the screw thats jamming it. The blown fuse is probably the stop button fuse and does't affect the hopper jam at least it should'nt.

Well I finally cleared the issue with the coin hopper but the stop reels still do not work. Yes there is a burned fuse on the back board.. the stop reel board. I have changed the fuse and it still "blows" Not sure where to go now... any help out there??

if it keeps blowing the fuse I would start checking all the wires for shorts or any place where a wire could be being pinched by the door or one could be rubbing on something

There has to be a problem with the stop board. See if stealthhomeamusement.com has one. It's the reel stop circuit board.

Sorry I cannot advise on your stop reel problem, but please note that Pachislos are designed for use solely with the correct tokens
