    Default radial retaining clips

    hello all,
i have a mizuho hawk machine that i am cleaning up. i am going to replace most of the screws etc. on the machine due to rust etc. anyways i was removing the radial retainer clips from the back, all but one either broke or shot off into the outer atmosphere somewhere.
i am unable to find any at my local hardware stores. it is a wee bit smaller than 1/8 inch opening. i assume it is a metric size. does anyone know the proper size i should be looking for?
i recently picked up 4 machines for $100 in my area so i am going to clean them up the best i can and keep two and try to sell the other two at a large flea market in my area in the spring time.( also is there a semi secret place everyone gets their balls from?. i have 4 machines and maybe 125 balls)
thank you in advance for your help

There are different size retainer clips. Some squeeze to release; others rotate to release.

Post a picture; if you can, of the one good ones you have left.

A work around would be a long wood screw, a washer and an appropriately sized spacer; all of which might be available at the hardware store.

You might be talking about e-clips?

Both the English and metric sizes are available from fastenal.com and also are in a specialty hardware box at my local Ace Hardware...

some call them e clips. they are on the end of metal dowels, for the lack of a better word. the dowels are pivot points for levers. there are no grooves for the clips to go into that i can see. i have checked a couple ace hardware places and the smallest they carry are 3/16. i will check fastenal. thanks.

I believe you are talking about E clips. They are VERY small, and I have not found a source for them either. I have never broke or damaged one...but I have lost several! If not VERY careful when removing them, they will shoot across the room...NEVER to be found again! Every one one I have removed (or lost) came off of a metal post that had a groove that it snapped into.

While its not secret or even semi secret, I think most people seem to get balls from goldenstatetraders1 these days..
