I have a Julie question ...I am currently cleaning the pachi's and was wondering what is a quick way to remove the plastic in front of the mini pinball field??? there looks to be some sort of latch on the right side? Arby do you know?

Sorry, I would have posted sooner but I've been playing..

    Yes, Julie has landed!

I received my Arbyized Julie cell today and it's not only pristine, but just like my Star Wars, it's brand new, it never saw the inside of a parlor. Gorgeous machine. Beautiful video, infectious music, and a classic American theme! I love this pachinko.

If you've never considered buying a cell before to fit an existing case, please do. It takes only a couple of minutes to swap out an average cell. The space savings alone makes it worth it as now I have the space of one machine sitting here in my office that can become a Julie, Star Wars or Star Blazers anytime I feel the desire to play something different. It's an awesome concept. The cells are also easier to get in new condition than an entire machine is.

If you have a case that supports multiple machines, consider buying a cell. The quality, space savings and another big plus, instead of 2500 balls per machine, you only have to buy the cell as the balls you have for your case are already enough!

Thank you Arby for another wonderful pachinko experience! You're the best!
    Meanwhile, somewhere in Oklahoma.

Congratulations on the Julie - Tulsa,

It's really awesome and I'm glad you're loving it!

I've never really considered 'Cell Swapping' - as I intend to eventually house all the Pachinko's in Cabinets in a Games Room..........

But.......I can see how tempting this is - especially for the amount of Lumina cases I appear to be collecting..........

and the space saving aspect is starting to appeal to me - I could get more Pachinkos in the House!!!!

Cels are the way to go. I have 2 Lumina cases and 8 cels, 3 Victory cases and 7 cels. Lots of choices!

Cellular is the wave of the future for a serious collector or for anyone who wants a quick change of pace for a lot less space and money. The only downside is aquiring one. You can pick them up from Japan or Arbycoffee, but the regular dealers only want to deal with complete machines.

To remove the cell in the machine (8 locks & 4 pink Connectors).

Open the machine from the frame and put a brace under the front of the machine to support it.

    Than slide the three black Locks A, B, C. (Picture #1, #2, #3)

    Now open the white Lock Levers D, E, F, G. (Picture #4, #5)

Unplug the two Pink Connectors #1, #2. (Picture #6)

Swing back Door open to the frame. (Picture #7)

Hold the cell in place, Unplug the two Pink Connectors #3, #4. (Picture #8)

Now the only thing holding the cell in is Lock #H (Picture #9)

    Open Lock #H (Picture #10)

How the white Lock Levers D, E, F, G look open. (Picture #11)

Remove the Cell carefully (Picture #12)

How it looks without the cell in machine (Picture #13)

Change the cells and reverse the order to install.

I'd love to get into cell swapping! Almost as important as the cost/space savings is the fact that it'd be much easier for me to get them into the house under the wife's watchful eye, if you know what I mean. It'd be easier than trying to slip those big ass pachi boxes past her, that's for sure.

The problem is, I have no clue which case goes with which cell. Is there such a thing as a lesser priced machine which can take one of the higher priced cells? Or do you have to get a high end machine like a Star Wars to fit other high end cells like Indy and Julie? Is there a cell swapping 101 thread on here somewhere?

I know I've seen the cases on my pachinkos on other machines. For example, my Saint Maria has one of those Nishijin flame cases. Does this mean that I could put any other Nishijin cell in it that came in the same case, like Sakura?

Thanks Birdbrain - I know this is going to sound a really daft question, but I will ask it anyway. I have a Star Wars machine which is in in a 2005 case so would any of the 2006 machines you list above fit in the 2005 Lumina case from my Star Wars

    Cool!! - Thanks Birdbrain

Well I am on holiday at the moment, but just doing a few odd jobs round the house. So tomorrow I am going to follow the Arby process & see how easy it is to dismantle my Star Wars & then hopefully put it all back together.

I hope I can count on some on line support if I get stuck

Will let you all know how I get on
