    Default Another LOTR Gone

Yes, this one had 55 (FIFTY FIVE!!!!!!!) bids on it to finally close at $334.00. The bidders in most instances don't even care or know what a Pachinko is. They just want ANYTHING that is Lord of the Rings. These machines are going for way more than they should be because of the Lord fanatics who want LOTR at almost any price.

    Dang. Whine, whine, whine.

If you think that's bad... just wait for the Star Wars pachinkos!

Now $334 isn't that bad. If it had gone for twice that, I would raise an eyebrow. It's a great theme of a classic piece of literature that's timeless in it's appeal. Where else can you go and visit Dwarfs, Elves, Hobbits, Orks and Wizards?

I know nothing about Hobbits, or anything else at all about LOTR. But, many seem to think this is one of the best out there regardless of the theme and my daughter wants it. Soooo... I'll keep lookin'.

BTW, it is available 24/7 for $359 on TA's website... this was very close to that price.

You my friend, need to go and visit Middle Earth. It's a wonderful journey with many adventures along the way. You need to read it, not watch a movie as it was intended to be done by JRR Tolken.

$330 is right about what I ended up paying for mine, at the beginning of April.
I think the lowest it dropped to after that was around $250?? Then has inched it's way back up ever since.

My daughters and son love it, too. Yesterday, my youngest hit 2 fevers, a 100 spin chance that gave her another fever, and about 5 minutes after that... yet ANOTHER fever! It was cold for a week, then just broke loose!

Then she said that I could play it again.

LP, did you pay $330 plus shipping? I thought you had paid less total?

Anyhow, I missed that one that went for around $237 a while back as didn't snipe high enough. Darn.

Again, there is always the option of buying the one on the website at $359, but that ruins the fun of the "hunt."

    Yes, I did... $330 plus.
I regretted it a bit when I saw the next few go for less, but I've had so much enjoyment out of it, it has made up the difference.

There's three importers that have them now, so maybe the price will fall again.
But like you said, the LOTR collectors are on this now, so it's hard to say.
