We had a very similar radar here this morning...I woke up at 6:00am to my house rattling from the thunder and followed by hail and a torrential downpour. I found out I need to hold off on the wall-to-wall carpet in the basement for a little while....hmmmm, maybe I better stick with the tile.

Wall to wall carpet in a potential wet area is not a problem as long as you don't put padding underneath. I found this out when we had our basement carpeted and we had the unfortunate opportunity to test it when the bottom fell out of the water heater.

Dattia if you decide to get wall to wall carpeting let me know. Depending on what you decide to get I might be able to save you a few hundred dollars.

Looks like a good one. Hope you dont get any home damage. We get some good winds here sometimes with storms. Been lucky so far with just 1 piece of siding coming loose in 6 years. Mike : )

We're so glad for rain. It's been so dry so far this year a good heavy down pour is wonderful. It's stopped for now but it came down hard and I still hear some thunder. They said our downtown area was getting hail the size of softballs, sure glad I missed out on those.

ahhhh rain. I have forgotten how nice rain can be. Yesterday, I travelled three hours to the closest garage to get the snow tires changed for the coming summer. Yes, I woke this morning to more SNOW, not just a little dusting - but HUGE amounts of it AGAIN!! Time to get the mukluks back out. Just hope that most of it is gone by the time Goose Break rolls around in another week or so.

BTW...gas prices yesterday were 1.26 per litre - for those metrically challenged - multiply that by 4 to get the price of a gallon - I can't do it - brings tears to my eyes.

1.26 canadian? Either way that's still like $4 a gallon. When's ethanol coming?
