Default Star Wars sub-roulette follow up.......

haven't had a fever since my last post on this so thought I'd post a follow up

    - still no opening of flippers at all in normal play
    - "--" displayed during normal play
    - during fever, display shows two characters e.g. AO or something like that

    - this time I got a 100 bonus spins - every time a ball went throught the "gate" flippers opened about 3 times consecutively

HOWEVER, I had assumed that the point of the 100 round bonus spin was that the sub roulette would be rolling during the spins so tha you had a chance for an additional fever ..... ?

I ran the 100 spins , but still no numbers on the sub roulette dial ... still showing "--"

Whats the point of the 100 bonus spin round ? Is there an increased chance of winning a repeat fever, or should there be numbers appearing on the sub-roulette dial ?

    Cheers

Ok, I have been reading your posts of late.

Flippers usually don't open during normal play. The whole point of these machines in Japan is to win balls. Normal play sets up your bonus/fever rounds. When you get into those then you win more balls, flippers open, gate opens, all increase your winning of balls.

The "--" display that you see during normal play means that it is normal play.

It is not a roulette. It is a display to let one know what is going on, it is an information display and not part of the game.

The 100 spins you got allowed you win more balls. After all this is what the machine is designed for.

From everything you have been posting, it sounds like your machine is working the way it is supposed to.

The best way to find out what does what, is to just relax and quit worrying about if it is working correctly. Just sit back and play, don't overanalyze everything that happens.

Enjoy your game and play on!

problem I have is I keep getting conflicting info......

Rupan tells me about the sub roulette.....
Arby tells me the numbers appear in bonus rounds.....
The museum picture shows a 77 appearing in the window of a fever round...

Now, you tell me it has nothing to do with the gameplay .......

You'll probably understand my confusion ?

I think it is the count down in a bonua CHANCE Round, which is an easyier time to go into the bonus rounds.

I would also err on the side of Lddrizzt and say relax and enjoy. The features that you are asking about really don't have a whole lot of use in the overall scope of the game.

However, I can also understand the frustration of not having a question answered (what the mind can perceive as) clearly so this is a test that you can do to ease that unrest:

Get a few balls (or a pencil or pen) and one by one slowly activate the "through" gate - it's the one located NW of the lower left spinner and to the left of the LCD. As you are doing this, examine the entire playfield (including the LCD) and see if you see anything blinking or spinning - that's the subroulette. Next notice if you see any lights banking up (again don't activate the gate too quickly; subroulette spins take a lot of time to complete); that's the memory bank for the subroulette.

Now, that you have identified those two things, report back here and tell me where those two things were located and what they did (aka the "action") and I will give you further explanation.

    Hey Rupan....... good advice......

With a lot more playtime I can fully begin to understand the mechanics.....

The sub roulette LED's are located to the lower left of the playfield ( 4 little boxes with a X and O ) When a ball goes through the gate the X and O flash alternately .... i.e. its a roulette spin.... very occasionly the flippers will open for about a 100th of a second ( god knows how they think that would be an advantage in normal play )....I already know the action post fever round....

The other LED ( apart for the imperial coin spin bank indicator ) IS for info only , and as yet I simply haven't seen everything ......

    Thanks

And most likely you may never, I remember a thread about the SpinLuck that the guys found out something different after over a year of play.

All right, good to hear that it helped. So to answer your last question:

Yes, there is a base 20-25% chance of winning in the bonus round.
