News about my son Tyler.

Since I think of the group of people here on Patchitalk as part of a family I try to inform you of significant things that happen. As some members here know my son Tyler was diagnosed with leukemia when he was two years old. He is now six and had gone through the chemo protocol vary well. This past spring the protocol was finished and the end of his chemo. As part of his continued care he would go in once a month for a blood test and a physical exam. This Thursday he was in for his one month visit. an abnormality was found and a biopsy was performed. The results were in today and the Dr. informed us that he has relapsed with the leukemia.
His treatment will be a little different this time with heaver doses of chemo along with some different kinds of chemo. Because of how and were it was detected we may have to make some difficult decisions to balance the need to get him into remission and hopefully stay there and his adult life.

Thanks to all. Today we go and have the port put back in and start chemo. It was such a great day when he had the port taken out it signaled the worst was over

As one that has witnessed God's true miracles in my daughter's battle twice with aggressive lymphoma (and the proof to back it up), we will pray for the same for Tyler. And we will pray that He gives you the guidance, wisdom, and strength to be his advocate in this battle.
