Eddie, that's a nice video! Thanks!
    You do great video work!
But, you should start narrating your videos! And I don't mean just the written word!

While I recognized a few of the machines, it would be nice to know which machine was which! Especially for us poor shlubs that are unfamiliar with a particular machine.

    Just my 2 tokens worth.

Temporarily, go to youtube.com and search for BudgeRahe for videos. Until I get the links set up in the museum

TJ, I thought the exact same thing. If any vid ever needed narrating, it's this one. It's a nice vid and serves a useful purpose but lacks the information necessary to hold the viewer and educate them at the same time.

OK Eddie time to go in after the fact and add the narration.
You have fancier software than I do, and I did it.
Maybe we should delete the current one and wait till you've narrated it.

This is my personal opinion, or of the voices in my head, and are not meant to reflect the opinion of this board.

If Eddie chooses to go back and narrate this one, he can send me the link to it and I can edit this one where it sits.

With the narration in it, I'll also add it to the newbie section.

You guys are a rough crowd! This vid was intended for the non choir people that know nothing about or may have discovered Pachislos for the first time, Or people finding it by accident on youtube.
It wasnt meant for the hard core informed such as yourselfs.
I didnt see the need to narrate in this particular vid as I thought it spoke for itself and me just babling on over it would be a distraction. Plus some of the clips are very short in order to meet the 10 min requirement. So me naming some machines would take up most of those short clips again distracting.

Soooooooooooo if you guys all want me to spew somthing on the vid what has already been put in the text just post a poll and I will abide by your wishes.

Hmmmmm after reading this it could sound nasty but trust me its not it only comes across like that in text. Im good with taking constructive criticisim and if you guys think the vid sux then Ill put some form of narration to it to add to what was given in the text. Ideas are welcome

OK OK I have been thinking this over and over again as to what I could possibly say on the vid and Im stumped. Should I just repeat what I said in the text? Should I just describe what is being seen on each clip such as (Here is Sinbad Adventure as [ you can see] its main draw and game feature is the blah blah inch lcd video screen. The sequence that [you are watching] runs continuously throughout the idle mode!
I need help here... I think it would be odd to just narrate and describe to the viewers what they are seeing with their own eyes.

Its akin to what I came across at Toys R Us yesterday when doing Xmas shopping. I picked up a WWF Wrestling ring for my friends son and in the top right corner of the box, on the face was a plastic bubble encasing a wrestling figure. underneath the figure was written WRESTLING FIGURE INCLUDED???????????????????????????????????????????????????? ?????????
Well no duh!!!!!!!! I can see that for myself.

So I see this as the same situation with this particular vid.
Please toss out some ideas of USEFUL info that I can say that cant be seen with your own eyes. Pertaining to the theme of the movie.

Thx I want to get this vid done right!

The video is great! I wasn't sure which machines I was looking at a couple of times. So even just saying what it is would be great. Plus if you think there is something that should not be missed, it should be mentioned also. Kinda like what I did pointing out the numbers being little fish tanks on the Lassen.

Eddie, I thought it was a super video... and knowing how long it takes to make these, I appreciate it very much!

I'm CERTAIN others appreciate it, too. And we ALL enjoy your hard work AND your play here.

I think Dawn hit it right on the head... we've become spoiled with voice-overs and sound. It's the nature of these machines to treat us to both visual AND audio delights... and we're spoiled... no... we're HOOKED on that.

The attract modes usually don't have that, but THAT is what you featured in this video... that WAS the documentary you built for us... and that's cool with me.

Maybe some were just missing that aural experience to go along with your excellent videography, without realizing that these machines ARE silent during the draw (or attract) mode. Maybe you thought adding sound or voice would distract from the visual... or wouldn't match the machine's effect that you were sharing with us. You are the artist in your vids, and it's up to us to interpret your expression. Just remember that some of us need a little help with that.

As Lucky said, the names would be nice if you want to make any changes at all. Extra nice, IMHO, if they were spoken, maybe along with the manufacturer... but again, that's just MHO. You don't have to ramble about the machine if you don't want to. Heck, text it in there if you want... or not... 'cuz it's your video, my friend.

You can add voice-overs if you'd like, but don't feel that you must.
If you feel uneasy using your voice... no problem.
(Did you know that Johnny Carson couldn't stand to hear his own voice? Yet, that voice was enjoyed by millions and millions of people.)
Just know this... we wouldn't give a token if you sounded like Elmer Fudd or Sylvester the Cat... OR like Johnny Carson... because you are you... and we're glad you help us out like this.

    Keep up the great work!

    Eddie,

I agree. Great job on the video, but narration would add that extra something...
