Default error codes & resetting ?

Hello all. I already own 2 pachislot machines , but just bought a "3rd hand" pachinko : Nishijin extra fine model "alpha".
no clue on these machines at all.
    1) sort of worked a bit after getting it home , than no work & error code(s) E & H. figured out ,not enough balls in the top tray (?). but now an "0" error code & will not play at all.
    2) any one know what the error letters / numbers mean ,for this machine ?
    3) specifically how do you reset this machine ?
on the "slots" , you turn a key & flip a switch , ect. then turn back on. nothing like that on these.
I found / bought this in a local 2nd hand store. plugged it in ,flipped the switch all lights on ,video screen on , lots of noise = considered the price & bought it. So no one on one discussion with the last owner, ect.

    listed on back, error codes:
    "E" (area rubbed away) =
    8 =
    A =
    F =
    H=
(note ,there is no "0" on this tag (?!?)
any help would be Very nice !!! no clue on year made , ect.
thank you in advance. best regards , Jeff H.

    0 is sometimes no fault.

Post a picture of the front and back of the machine. Does it have CR written anywhere on the machine. Does it have extra buttons on the front.
Some have a reset button near the on/off power switch if one is fitted.

hello drunkenclam. thanks for your reply.
yes it has a CR on a few stickers on the back.
front has a button or pink plug filling in a hole on left side ( does not feel like it moves) , plus the credit buttons on the right side = non working.
I have an odd ball work schedule ,will have to post photos late to night when I get home.
a few spots are marked with yellow dots of paint ,assumed done by the "U.S." importer of these machines before selling (as I read in the threads). thank you so far.
    photos up late tonight.

Check to see if you have a dongle in the back plugged into the 25pin d connector (old style printer port) shooter will not work with out one, unless circuit board has been modified.

I noticed the arm to hit the balls in the "up" position , not sure if this matters.
will recheck the wires. jeff H.

From this website, it appears the odds are settable, probably from that key switch on the back.

thank you gentlemen for the help & information.
now , I've always said I was smarter than a monkey (not by much), and I proved it (to my self).
the "hammer" that hits the balls ,I noticed it was in an up position..... ,well the spring was slightly bent upwards & it was catching on the square plastic piece above it, hence not dropping down.
filled a small section on the plastic .... and played it for about 20 minutes.
if any one wants different photos (for what ever reason ) ,let me know.
Any additional information to make this more enjoyable for me , feel free to pass it on.
thank you guys again, means a lot.
    Jeff H.

still blinks a "0" on the right side read out, while playing.
Still would like to know what these codes stand for, so I'll have a clue what to look for ect.... If they pop up.
found a few other little "mechanical" issues, which I'll tackle later. with all these little issues , no wounder the last owner got rid of it.

still playing with it and seems to be playing correctly. not bad .... worth the money so far.
have no key ,so guess I cant change the setting on the "pay outs", which I might not notice any how.

Again , thank you guys for your help.
need more balls but, should be it.

Any one have a good clue on finding a key to change the chances of this machine ?
not a key for the front to open it but, the "electrical / micro processor " box on the back.
