I asked if they had pictures, but they said they had nothing... but I figured what the heck, it's worth a drive (about 30 miles away)...

I was expecting an old vintage one, with missing pieces to find. But what I got was a modern Nishijin Saint Maria (Symphony Tribute). They said it had worked, but the kids had been playing it and it had stopped. He said they wanted to give it to a good home... Although he did warn it was quite loud.

So I brought it home, plugged it in to see what it did... An alarm went off and boy was it loud... It came with about 300 balls although I hadn't put them in yet. I figured I'd check for any ball jams and took apart the ball assembly and other than being dirty, it seemed to be working. So I put it back together and loaded it up with balls, turned it on and it came to life.

Wow! It's very interesting. It's working great and we even got it to do a bonus round. It is a bit dusty and could use a cleaning, but beyond that it seems in perfect condition.

It is very loud though, and I'll definitely need to add some controls for the volume and the sound is pretty good.

and a video of the bonus round (not great quality) but it gives you some idea of what it does, the sound, animations and the door. The sound is a bit "tinny" because it is so loud, I had the sub woofer disconnected

I love this machine, as does everyone who comes over and plays it. My band's rehearsal space doubles as a pachinko parlour and every band practise I have to pull someone off of it so we can get started. This one is, by far, the one that has gone into fever mode the least amount of times. And how I love that frame!!

Until you can install volume controls, try a few layers of duct tape over the speakers. This one is a screamer!

That's a Nishijin Flame frame amiright? For my dollar-donut it's the prettiest one when its all lit up like that... My first was a Hanamankai Kiwame like that (bday gift). And yes - even with the volume switch on low its still a loud one.

Awesome find... lucky. I always seem to show up at the place where the husband drags out his about-to-drop wife and I succomb to the "need cash for the baby" thing every time...

I thought I would give an update. It's all settled in. I built a stand, which still needs to be finished (along with the Panther Panther I previously picked up). I also got some volume controls (Volume controllers a bulk of 10 skill slot pachislo pachinko pinball double | eBay). I went with the stereo ones just to make it easier to adjust in sync. I also added 2 of them to the Pink Panther. These helped a lot.

I went with a 2X8 frame, its probably overkill, but it's really sturdy and provides a nice place to rest your legs.

I also made a ball bin in the top which I had done for all of the ones I have, but this time I went with a plexiglass front and its a nice touch.

Here's an interior shot showing the volume controls (and power) on the side of the machine. Oh yeah, and I probably shouldn't admit it, but that's the top of a 2 liter bottle cut to make a funnel for the balls to drop them to the bin below. It fits perfectly in a 1 inch hole. I started with one of these in the Pink Panther and then upgraded to a funnel, but the bottle is simple (just needs some padding to keep it from popping when the balls hit it).
