The Big Shooter series is one of the more durable hanemono-type pachinko series ever released... there are at least 11 different models released from Heiwa over the last 20 years, and I come across a new variation I've never seen every now and then, inevitably from the mid/late 80's.

Did the usual check on CL after getting home and came across this

figuring the odds of the same machine being in the same tiny town were lousy, i called the seller up and found out he had intended on listing Big Shooter at 99 dollars, not cents
so not knowing how to cancel the Ebay ad he just listed it on CL, guess he figured to clear it up later
I increased my bid to 1.99 to prove i was the bidder ,and now he says I can have it for $50 if i'm there tomorrow,
the never ending adventures of pachinko hunting

If he wants to end the Ebay auction,what would he need to do? send me an invoice?

$50 is a very good price if you ask me. I also love local pickup machines on eBay because very few people bid. I've got some sweet deals on local pickup...But I've also paid dearly in gas on some that weren't so local.

round trip should take about an hour, hour and a half ('bout a quarter tank of gas )
should be worth it, if not , it's all part of the adventure ...lot worse things in life than a wasted trip!

well, made it to Ferris at lunch today and in typical Texas fasion the biggest thing there was the high football stadium,
found the location with no trouble,
took my balls in, and the seller (very nice guy) proceeded to fire the machine up,
I told him what to expect before testing the 1 and 2 pockets,and they did perfect, than i set the jackpot off and it worked great as well,also the payouts flowed correctly
after the jackpot light show (particularly the frame)he got a bit more interested and wanted to film it for his kid,that was kind of funny

as far as the shooter, noticed the hammer was hitting nice and solid but no balls were coming out (also the switch to empty the tray worked but nothing drained)knew there was a jam there
so feeling it was fixable i grabbed that sucker, and here it is

its a real beauty, the color combo is very different from the bright colors of most hanemonos,
the black makes the nail pattern show up really well,

then it was time to open up the shooter, and this is what was in there


so after attaching feet, removing the jam, and a little wipe down it works perfectly,
this is (so far) the best deal I've found!

I was wondering about that. Usually they don't announce their "extra curricular" activities! The farthest I've ever drove for a pachi was Dayton, Ohio...to Silver springs, Maryland! All for a '50s vintage Ginza.061.jpg Looks better now. Search "Silver Springs" if you want to see.
