Default New Machine and alot of questions

First off I have the "Little Mermaid Like" And I love it, but I do not read Jappanese. So I have some questions. I've attached three images First a cut away of the dip swtiches, then a close up of them both. I've toggled them and they turn on and off one little red light each inside the machine. And that is all. Anybody know what they are for? From dregging around the web I know it's a Standard Model 1 w/LCD. I hope this helps, I'll include an image of outer door in following post.

Ok here is the front door except on mine bottome panel is in english "Seven Heaven" as you can see I aquired the main image. Next is my second question, I have a three step switch I don't know what it does, it;s down and right of the coin drop to hopper and above the pay out path, it has no lable in any langue. I've worked it and it seem to reduce the static in the speakers when in reset mode, but not a volume control (thats in reset menu took hours to find) And lastly most my menues are in Japanese so i'm clueless and help translating or a link would rock. Thanks

the two switches are usually only bonus related ( 1 requires a reset after the big bonus the other cashes out your credits after a bonus .) the three position switch is usually a volume switch.

Great thank you so much on the two switches, I'll be looking up the Kangi for what they say but like I said the three switch did reduce static to the speakers, But I found a volume control if the reset menu, from 001-100 (aka loud casino volume) could the switch be an after market thing like when it went for sale in "Sams club" Told you I was a new but was only $235.00 seen simular for $359+. Also anyone with a machine like this can you play it with one or two tokens or three only. Mine will not trigger unless atleast 3 tokens (bet max) is done. But i do have Bottons for 1 or 2 tokens just don't work?

I'm no help with the switches, but this is a Max Bet machine. What happens is, the cases with the one, two bet buttons were manufactured before the max only (three bet) system came into play. Most are hooked up and actually work, but only max bet will spin the reels. You won't see the 1 or 2 bet buttons on very recent machines.

The 3 postion switch is a volume switch, regardless of the fact there is a menu option to change the volume. The switches don't usually do a whole lot in the way of changing the volume, it's usually too loud, even louder, and really loud.
The odds of you finding an English translation of your menus will be nill, there are a couple threads for other machine's menu translations, and you mightr be able to piece together what your's says by reading them. At the top of the page is the search button, try searching for "menu translation".

This is my personal opinion, or of the voices in my head, and are not meant to reflect the opinion of this board.

usually the two switches should be set to the right position,

if your machine spits out the tokens and requires a full reset after the bonus then flip them in the other direction.

Check this out for a description of the switches and which way is on and off.

I wouldn't bother translating the Kanji and Kana; they're not very helpful. In your case, the first switch pictured (SW2) translates to 'end.' It's the one that, after a bonus round, will spit out all of your credits.

The second pictured switch (SW3) translates to 'automatic reset.' On these machines there MUST be a reset after a bonus round finishes for game play to continue. Proper positioning of this switch will do the reset automagically so that you can just keep playing and not have to open the door to reset it.

See that link too. Those are on the power supply, but those two switches can be just about anywhere in that machine.

Thank you all, that helps alot. The three switch volume is loud, obnoxious, almost unbareable truely. I see tis machine is going to be the great project for the next year or so, I want to know all the translations. And i love the dumb lil video games it has in it's menus. I know there are just Jackpots of great things in there I don't know about yet. I feel like a leech here cause I don't know anything yet, so most my posts will be asking for help for quite awhile. Thanks again to you all.

Some machines have both japanese and english versions bellyglass, plus sometimes the bellyglass gets changed out or customized.

When I first got into this there was a Lion King slot for sale. Same seller sold quite a few and I wanted one. As it turns out, it was a Savanah Park not a Lion King but the belly glass had been changed to reflect the Disney characters. Looked good to me. The price just stayed too high on this particular one and I never bought it, thankfully. It's didn't dawn on my unsuspecting brain that Disney would never release it's images to be associated with a gambling device.

Yep, we all have to start somewhere.
