    Default Hound Dog

Ok....this may be a dumb and obvious question, but I dont know the answer so I have to ask. What song/songs does the Hound Dog play in bonus? (...i'm thinking hound dog...) Any one own the machine, care to comment on it? Mine is on the way, I love the clean, 50's look of this machine!!

    Thanks!!

    Dattia,

I really like this machine, the plan red and white is a real eye catcher and it is very easy on the eyes. The obvious attraction!! and you cant really get any more Americanizied than this. The two box style speakers on the top remind me of the voice boxes you would attach to your car window at a drive-in, or the out door speaker-box at an old Dog-in-Suds, where you pull up and they bring your food to the car, how I miss theses!!

To answer my question posed on the thread earlier, the music is by "The Neatbeats" and says so on the belly glass. The song is sung in american and sounds a little like Little Richard, Tutty Frutti. The Neatbeats appear to be the Japs version of the Beatles. http://www.neatbeats.net/ it does sound good and real 50's style music. The max bet button lights up blue after the coins are dropped in,(sound like some one plinking a guitar string) after you spin the reels, (sounds like someone strumming a guitar) the stop buttons light up in blue (when you hit them, again a guitar plink) as well. While the game is in play you have little red lazer style lights between the reels that lightup to let you know the winning or potential winning combinations.

It has 3 LED style displays, that when in demo mode spell out "Hound Dog" and flash. Here is the neat part, (I think) when you are playing, of course you are trying to get the 777. However, the led is also displaying numbers 777, 555, 222 or various combinations, so you could also win that way. The numbers will spin both horizonal or vertical, in the display window to keep it interesting. Furthermore, when they do come in to play and start to spin, the sound they make is very futuristic/supersonic, is how i guess you could describe it. It just sounds cool, not a sound you would expect from this machine. When it does come on you kind of stand back and say Wow!!! this machine was certainly not made in the 50's!!

One thing I have noticed is there are lights around the face glass (around the reels) as I have seen them from inside the door, however they have yet to come on. The top Hound Dog glass/light and belly glass come on, but have yet to see if the others do. I have tested the bulbs and they all work. My thought is that when I hit the blue 777, per-haps they may come on for a light show. I have hit the red 777 and the back lit reels begin to strobe on and off for 30 seconds, also very cool. If anyone has seen the face glass, (I hope Im saying that correctly) come on, please advise.

Also, It is a Net machine, and that speaks for itself and there is a pink light under the belly glass that lights up the coin tray.

Anyway, for the price Dattia, you cannot go wrong and you will be pleased as punch, as to what a nice addition this will be to your 50's cafe!! I hope this helps.

I would send it, but my wife would find out it was gone, then you'd be down to only one admin...

I have a Hound Dog and several other Net machines. It appears that they all use the same circuit board assembly around the reels. My guess is that all these boards go to the assembly line with all the lights installed, so they can go into any machine. Only the lights that actually correspond to graphics on the front glass actually light up during play. The other's aren't used. Probably more work to take them out than they're worth.

I just look at it as a good source for spare bulbs should I need them.
