    Default Newcomer

Hi all, I’ve had a Pachislo from the early 2000’s for a couple of years now and just got my first Pachinko, and it is a beast, lol. Just need to fashion a cabinet for it. Does anyone have any experience making cabinets for a top heavy machine such as this? Standing it upright has it fall forward, so it’ll either have to be fixed to a wall or I’ll have to figure something else out!

    Thanks

    Welcome.

Nice looking machine. Love the three displays and the lanterns.

It's all a matter of the depth of the bottom plate (and make the cabinet sturdy). I usually got 16" deep, with sides 8.25" deep (so there's a from lip of 7.75 before you get to the frame of the machine). That's generally enough to not topple anything over. That said, depending on how far those lanterns stick out, an extra inch wouldn't hurt. I chose my measurements mostly based on how well a dollar box fits underneath/in front of the machine and the depth of my table.

    Good luck!

A piece of plywood and a couple braces is close to the minumum you need for a sturdy stand that can handle the entire machine swinging out.

That looks great, I like the aluminium brace you’ve made. I’ve got some sheets in the shed, will try and do the same
