Default New toys: Data counters BladeX

My new data counters have arrived. I found a pair of BladeX counters with mounting hardware and a remote control on Yahoo auctions, and added an additional counter to the package as well for my third machine. Very happy so far (I had a pair of Fuga counters already, but these are way nicer).

    Just wanted to share.

Are you going to network them?

I do not have the wiring to do so for one of them. And the slots are pretty far apart so I'd have to put in a cable to connect the two. Not sure what the networking cables are, but there's a pair of connectors (6-pins) that have both male and female versions in the wiring harness. The female connector has 2 of the wires cut. And there is a "Master" label around part of the wiring harness. Without the manual for these things I don't think any networking is going to happen.

What surprised me is that when I discovered an SD-card in one of them with the various graphics shown on the display of the counter. This means I can modify some of it if I feel so inclined . Dates on the files implies that the data counter is from 2013. It's interesting in a way that used newer data counters are more expensive than a machine of the same age generally (not counting shipping). I thought these counters would be less than 10 years old. Still, loving these counters as both the bar graph and the "token win/loss over time" graph is hitting the geek spot in my brain perfectly.
