Display and sound issue - Original Biohazard Pachislot

Hi everyone,

I have a serious issue with an original 2008 Biohazard four reel pachislot that I was hoping someone could perhaps provide some assistance on.

When turning on the machine the reels, lights, and everything seem to operate fine. Unfortunately the screen will show the walking game animation for awhile and suddenly when sound needs to commence (or an event happens) the machine will make an error noise and the screen goes green producing an error message, then return back to the base game animation of walking around.

I am reaching out to the seller about this, but I was told it might be a fault with the sound board or main logic board for the game. Everything else seems to operate just fine, so I am not sure what other steps I can take. I did try to unplug and plug back in some of the inputs, but I didn't try all the inputs inside the machine behind the monitor plexiglass case. My hope is that it's not a serious issue and perhaps something is loose, but it's really hard to know. I included some images of the issue below.

I appreciate any suggestions on how to best tackle this issue.

Thank you, yeah I used google lens to see that's what the error message is saying. Not sure if anyone else here has any suggestions?

Have you tried to perform a hard reset on it?

Yes, I ran what I believe is the hard reset procedure. The back of the monitor case behind the door also has a small button that when pushed resets the screen, and it still produces the same issue where the gameplay won't load, then loads, and the moment sound needs to come on it crashes. I can try and open up the plexi shield where even more cables are connected to see if something else is perhaps loose there, but everything looks tight and plugged in.

Someone I spoke to who sells these machines told me that it could be a logic fault with the main board or sound board, in which case a replacement board would be needed. =/

If the sound board is separate, try disconnecting that. Also might try disconnecting the speakers and see if it works. I know no sound, but it would isolate it to the board or speakers. I'd try speakers first.
