    Default buyee crises

omg. guys the most horrible thing just happened to me. so i bought 3 pachislos on yahoo auctions using buyee. i bought black lagoon 2, night shift nurses, and castlevania III. my mother also has an account on buyee. my mom bought a terminator and she thought she had money in her bank but she didnt and we were struggling to figure out what to do because she won the auction. she got the money but the bank was closed because it was memorial day weekend. so i decided to link my credit card to her account to pay for it for her. however the card was already linked to my account but buyee accepted my card but i couldnt complete the transaction. so we were out of options until this tuesday. but just earlier i couldnt log into my buyee account. i messeged support and they told me they terminated my account and my mothers account since my mother wasnt able to pay and buyee matched my credit card i used for hers with my credit card on my account. so now i have to wait for them to refund me my money back for the 3 pachislos that i had already paid for. they claimed that they couldnt tell me why my account was terminated but im pretty sure that is the reason. there is no other explanation. so i have to find another proxy service and make sure my mother does not make an account there. my mom likes pachislos too but i cant try to help her anymore if things like this are going to happen to me because of my mothers fault.

I use fromjapan instead of Buyee. With them you place a deposit so have to pay them upfront before they bid on any item.
of course you still get a shock when the shipping invoice arrives

I also use FromJapan and I use PayPal to fund my bidding and shipping needs. PayPal takes a small transaction fee just as any bank would for the foreign exchange transaction. You can fund the US side of PayPal in various ways from a linked bank account, credit card or line of credit.

The only downside for some is that FromJapan will only ship to your verified shipping address on file with PayPal. You cannot use an alternate ship to address but I have had large packages held at the various delivering companies (Fed-Ex, DHL, USPS) for me to pick up.

I think Peteybob just got an Eva8 pachinko delivered from Japan using Fromjapan. Best ask him what the shipping cost was.

Yes I received my Eva8 pachinko last week thru FJ. The shipping total was $280 between the shipping and fees within Japan and the int'l shipping to me. The int'l shipping itself via Fed-Ex economy service was $252 for a 42kg single carton about 3'x2'x2'. I'm not sure what they do with pachislos though. They may or may not break them down into two packages.

A side note: FJ would not add a couple small flat items to my large box. They have done away with the consolidation fee but also have done away with the consolidating of items with other odd or over-sized packages. So I had a second box of small items sent out on the slow boat.

ive had 3 pachislos shipped to me by from japan and they are anywhere between 300 to 380. but thats with the service fee added. so far 2 of them were 380 but the most recent one was only like 310 and it even had 500 tokens in it while the other 2 did not. i guess it just depends on the machine.

so there is also jauce.com, in addition to buyee. Are people fairly confident that FromJapan is the best to use?

All have their pros and cons.
But some will not even touch pachis at all. In fact on SMJ anything in the pachi section and white goods is manual bid only.

good god. ok so i bought resident evil pachislo on from japan and the shipping cost and fees was $850! im freaking out cuz i dont have that and i only have 30 days to pay it. ive never seen shipping cost that much on a pachislo before. the only thing i can figure is that because it is a 4 reel machine instead of a 3 reel, it must be bigger and/or heavier than others.

the size of the box seems to have more of an effect on price than weight (within reason)
just adding 10cm to any dimension can add a huge amount to the shipping cost.
