Default E0 error panic saurus machine help

Hi so what I learned is that this is a coin jam. There is no jam I took it off the machine and unplugged all the wires. Did a reset and still reads E0. I'm guess the two black pieces pictured below are the sensors?? I tried cleaning them and still nothing.. Help I'm new to the whole slot machine game.. I purchased this on an auction for $20. What are they worth? Pictured below is what it reads and the black pieces are they the seniors?? Thanks fellas

    Hello, Welcome to PachiTalk

I'm really sorry that i can't help with your technical query, and I'm not in the US so can't offer a value for your model, however other members should be able to assist with value and some trouble shooting advice

In the meantime, have you tried completing the full reset procedure including the odds change as quite often the hard reset will rsolve most issues.

Also check the hopper has plenty of tokens in it to pay out, and also are you using Pachislo tokens to play.

Are you 100% sure it is a coin jam error? I am not familiar with that model myself but I can give you a link to our Pachislo Guide which does have some manufacturer specific info towards the latter pages and also explains some of the usual error codes.

it's a PDF manual as follows:

The 'Hard reset' is what we call the one where you also change the odds, so if you have done the odds change then you will have performed the hard reset

An E0 error code means a token is jammed in the coin mechanism.

Yes, "the two black pieces" are the sensors. (P1002A). If it shows an error code and nothing is jammed in the coin mechanism, then the sensors are dirty or bad. It doesn't take much to ruin a sensor. Cleaning should be done using a Q-tip, moistened with window cleaner and clean the inside of the sensors, gently.

It is also possible that the circuit board that the sensors are mounted to may be faulty. Or, it could be something simple, as a bad connection or the machine may need to be Reset. From what you say, you have cleaned the sensors and have had the circuit board and connection removed/undone. So, these are probably not the cause.

If a "Hard Reset" doesn't clear the error code, then most likely the sensors are bad. There are no parts dealers, parts only come from "dead machines". Finding replacement sensors may be difficult.

Try a Hard Reset, Hanabi suggested, and see if that helps. Here are the steps. Every step MUST BE DONE IN ORDER or the machine doesn't reset.

    Changing Odds & Full Reset.jpg
$20 for that machine is a real good deal. If the machine works a fair price would be $75-$125, depending on how many tokens come with it. Just my opinion.

    Good Luck.

Ok so I cleaned the sensors (4) with a q tip and window cleaner. Still nothing. I unplugged the wires to the coin acceptor(pictured below). And I noticed the coin slot now flashes when it didn't before? Weird.. I plugged the wires back on and it stopped... I did the reset again and still nothing.. I have a feelings it's something really stupid that I'm missing somewhere.. Everything else I got in the auction came right out of a house and everything else is working. I filled the hopper up with tokens, somewhere I read you can do a hopper reset but idk what that is.. Apparently the acceptor is suppose to click after a reset and it doesn't?

Ok lol thanks.. But what I read is this magnet on the coin acceptor is suppose to be clicking and being pulled in.. It doesn't do anything... I checked the connections and everything is connected.

You may have a connection problem, somewhere.
When the machine resets, the magnet is activated and pulls in the metal plate, (On your machine it's the metal plate with the red sticker), so tokens can pass through the mechanism without falling out. When the Credit Meter reaches 50, the magnet is deactivated.

Resetting connections sometimes cures problems. Even though the connections look good, you should reset every connection. Unplug all the connections in the circuit board that the coin mechanism plugs into, following it back to the Mother board. Unplug all the connections, one at a time, and then plug them back in. Believe it or not, this has fixed many machines.

Forgot to say, when resetting the connections, look at the connector for a bent pin or dis-colored pin. A dis-colored pin could be corrosion and need to be cleaned.

Everything looks good.. I literally unplugged and replugged everything. Nothing is clicking. Seems like it's no getting power or something.. Starting to get annoyed

It does sound like you are not getting power to the coin mechanism.

There should be some fuses in the Power Supply. You can check those and see if they are good.

If they are good, then I didn't have much else, sorry. I would guess there is a problem in the Mother board, telling the coin mechanism what to do.

There appears to be only one fuse I could find.. I took it out and it powers the entire machine cause it wouldn't turn on until I screwed it back in.

Howdy I know on some of my Pachislo the Door Lock also works as a switch to clear the electronic memory the hook on the inside of the front door lock pushes a switch inside the machines front door

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Slot-Machine...gnI0SGzbQYLe5Q

So maybe you need to get a new front door lock with the right hook to work the little switch ?

This is hard to explain but I have a machine that does similar. What I did to make it play was to hold the mech closed(with power on) complete a reset. If the machine acts correct what I had to do was clean corossion off the coin mech (corrosion made the magnet not connect giving me crazy errors). The mech doesn't look bad and neither did mine but I had a ton of junk that came off. I hope this helps!

By the way after the reset you will still need to hole the mech and put a coin through (it will fall on the floor and not into the pay tray if correct)
