Don't want to lean how to do the easiest of things. Will say "I'm not going to buy it, if you won't install it." Want o buy new parts and install them (have them installed), then want to return it if they asked for the wrong part to begin with...because NOBODY wants to troubleshoot anything. I don't mean to paint people with a broad brush...but we have a sad bunch of people walking around America today. If they had to "Go West young man" and conquer the new country...they wouldn't even try, they would just curl up into a fetal position and hope someone else got it done for them quickly.
I used to pay people to do things that I was like I couldn't do that, I don't have the tools or skills to do it. After buying a house it changed as I started to do things myself and it costs me way less so I can do more. Tools for most things pay for themselves pretty quickly. There are a few things I do not do myself either because I am not good at it or the cost to do myself is not a savings. I don't like to Sheetrock or rather spackle Sheetrock. I just don't think I do a good enough job. I did pay for a new patio to be installed last year because it was cement and round with steps and it was not something I could do myself. But 95% of the work done on my house is done by me. Some stuff takes longer as I need to do it alone and in free time but same thing applies, it is satisfying to do it.

Thank you . When I did my first one, I was not sure if it would even work and figured worst case it would be something beautiful to have in my home. But luckily it worked and as you said, I did get hooked playing it. The new one, I am really hooked on right now. Yesterday I played so much that I ran out of nickels twice and had to empty out the coin box in it to start anew and it is a full roll of 1934 buffalo nickels. I kept saying, one more game...

That machine will probably run on a lantern battery. Most early pins of that era were designed as so.

Thanks, I am really happy with how it came out. I am pretty much done and just need to video it. I am still waiting on my brother in law to finish the super 8 card he is recreating for me. I am not paying for it so I am being patient. . I still need to take the lock for the coin door to see if I can have it keyed. Just been sidetracked of late with life is not gotten out to try. Soon.

Yep, it looks like it ran on about 4 originally. I am running it with a car battery charger instead. I did not want to keep replacing batteries. The charger cost about the same as 4 of the batteries anyway so it made the most sense. So far so good...
