    Default My first machine

Just picked up this Nishijin shiroi-kamome model C from an estate sale this afternoon. I had no idea if it even worked at all. Brought it home, messed around with it for about an hour (I had no clue what I was doing), got some balls unclogged and it seems to be working great now (even the lights!) just needs to be cleaned up a bit. I love all the colors in this one.

i don't know what to call his one because I don't really know what the center design is supposed to be..

not sure the year. Not sure what's going on with the electrical tape at the launching mechanism area either.

The electrical tape is not supposed to be there. The white piece is OEM.

Can you please take off the tape and see if the white piece is attached to a wire? I think it is part of the low reward tray, flag, mechanism. The flag drops and blocks pachinko balls from entering the shooting loader; if the reward tray is low.

There is a video in the vintage forum sticky's on the Model C. Definitely worth a view.

Here is a video of one of my model C's. After about 3 minutes, the back is shown.

Well I took it off and this is what it looked like. I wasn't attached to anything, just stuck there with some tape. Weird.

What you have there is a 1977 Nishijin Model C. I'm not quite sure what the center is suppose to be either. Just think of a cool name for it and that is it.

    100 machines and counting...

Because it's 1:33am, and I should be asleep, I feel compelled to point out that there was a German movie in 1988 called Die Jungfrauen Maschine, because is was the filmmaker's first movie, and Germans understood the title as meaning pretty much "my first machine [i.e., camera]," but it got a literal translation in the US release, "The Virgin Machine," and US audiences were expecting a different movie.
