Day of disappointment ends on an up note...

After missing out on that pair of $50 Powerflashes, I finally heard from another seller I emailed a couple weeks back... So this softens the blow. Its a very nice and mechanically good Nishijin B (1975) with some cool fish features. Its been on CL for ages. Also has all spent balls routed back to the front lower tray.

Getting a ball in the top center alternately resets the left fish set, then opens the two center tulips, then the right fish set.

Pretty clean... water marks aren't too bad. Think its screaming for some sort of fish-related graphic, though...

like... i dunno... one of these?

That machine is a Nishijin "Five Bells" machine. If you look closely, the symbols on the "side tross" pockets are bells, not fish.

I have restored two of these machines and actually have another one in the trunk of my car as I type this. It is a really challenging machine to play, which makes it highly collectible in my book. Sorry about losing the Power Flash machines, but the Five Bells was a great score.

There is a 5 Bells floating around Phoenix too, but the seller wants too much for it. Overall it's dirty, has a little rust, the cell is stained, and he has no balls for it, yet he wants $70 for it(also thinks it could be worth $400, but tried to educate him otherwise). Not worth the 3 hour round trip either.
