    Default ebay silliness

Vintage Japan 1960's Pachinko Pinball Machine Nishijan Sophia Super Deluxe | eBay

Normally, ebay sellers that try to make all their money on shipping really annoy me, but I'm not sure what "expedited parcel" is, and he does offer local pickup.

On the other hand, it is "Very rare and very collectible!!!"

your link isn't working for me

but not to worry, as looking at the title it's probably this one I posted earlier over in the eBay listings for our Canada Members

$250 for shipping. they must be mad. What are they planning to do create it? That is unnessasary, as they aren't that heavy. Box it up and you can ship it almost anywhere for around $50.

You know the Seller does say in the listing that they prefer to have the pachinko picked up

you could always go on a little road trip

I shipped 2 pachislos from Ohio to Washington state. Boxed individually, of course. they cost almost $200 each! Thank goodness I am not into them as much as vintage pachinko...much cheaper to ship!

Huge heavy box from Canada and it's only $250?? What a deal! I bet they made a mistake and it's more like $450.. (Canada Post to U.S. is incredibly expensive)

Just for funsies, I checked the Canadian postal service web site and got some rates from Regina to Westlake. $344 for Priority Worldwide (something like Overnight?), $120 Xpress (5 days), $75 expedited parcel (7 days). This is assuming 36" X 24" X 12" at 35 pounds, which could be a bit off. And I can't blame anybody for tacking some on for the time and materials needed to ship. Just seemed a bit much. But then I cringed to pay $50 to ship the last pachinko I bought for $21.

And they did offer local pickup, which makes it more legit.

I don't think it really qualifies as a "rare collectible", but that's another thread.

Yeah. I ship them at about 45 lbs with all my packaging. The box size I use is 36X22X12 so you were close to the right size browne.

I dunno, hanabi. It won't fit in the 2 seater convertible, so I'd have to take the mini-motorhome. At 12 MPG, from the gulf coast to Canada and back, it would probably be cheaper to fly it out first class.
