Worth a $50 dollar bill???

Hey guys, thought about picking up this one tomorrow locally and was wondering if it looks like a good deal. I picked up a nishijin pachinko a few days ago for $20.00 that completely works but needs to have the playfield replaced with new art work which I am planning to do. Cannot tell from the pics if it has any water damage or not but looks good from what I can see.

Hells yeah. Clean, previously restored... Fitty bucks seems great - as long as it isn't hiding serious rot or rust.

Looks nice and clean...$50 is a fair price for such a machine...that is, if you want it. When I started buying machines, I bought anything and everything, just because it was a pachinko. Looking back, I probably bought 5 or 6 machines that I honestly didn't REALLY want. So, if you really want it, go for it. If not, there will be another one out there that will come along and really blows your skirt up and you have to have it.

as it sits in the pictures posted its all jamed up... So it is NOT working as stated in the add..

im not saying buy it or dont buy it im saying take a good look at it before ya do. It might be broken...

I wonder if he really know how it should work... smells like a discount to me

Yeah I will go take a look at it tonight and see how it looks...I was wondering if it was worth it because I just bought my first vintage about a week ago. Although this one looks clean I wasn`t sure about the manufacture and the orange and blue plastic on the bottom looked kinda cheap. I would have liked it to be chrome. I guess I have been spoiled with all of the flashy moderns I have bought.

Don't know if it's jammed or just ready to pay out a bunch of jackpots, but there appears to be about 20 balls lined up at the see-saw (see-saw?).

I was looking at this one myself, as I will be in Houston this weekend. Just won't have much spare time.

Looks like a nice machine. I haven't seen the model Daiwa before. I think $50 is a tad high. Especially seeing that the track cover on the back is missing. I'd say you get themdown to around 40 you should be good as it will cost you about $20 to get a track cover. (Unless you show them vintage pachinko's price at $40) Also out of curiosity ask who "restored" it before. Because it doesn't look like anything was done. (I assume it was Billy at VP because the feet on the machine are his style.) If it was a member here then it should be pretty clean inside. As I think that is all they did was a cleaning because the nails aren't shiny.

Most of us have. I once paid $100 for a Power Flash that I will need to completely replace the back plastics on. Luckily I have another machine to swap with.

Happens to me a lot on CL. I think they sell quick, then just ignore anyone else that comes along. Rude, but it seems to be the way now adays.

Well looks like he still has this machine. It is the second time it has been listed. He emailed me and told me if I wanted it to come and get it. When I emailed an offer of $40 for it and for his contact number to get directions I never got an email back. Well I had my daughter email to the ad and he replied that he had someone close to him that offered $40 but he dropped the price from $75 to $50 and if she wanted to pay $50 he would save it for her??? Since he didn`t reply from my $40 dollar offer I guess he doesn`t want to sell it for under $50. Well at this point its not the $10 dollar difference that bothers me it is the lack of communication to let me know that he would only take $50 for it. I guess this is why it has not sold yet as you need to communicate with your potential buyers.

Oh well I might as well use the money to buy all of the stuff to restore the Nishjin I purchased a couple of weeks ago.

I have had communication problems on Craigslist because I set up a Craigslist email box that I'm not good at using. When I finally did it right, I got a quick response that it was sold. It was good to get a quick response...even if sold. The ad was finally removed: so, sorry NO PICS. A mechanical BELCO 10 cent slot machine...claimed to be from the Sahara Tahoe casino. For $100 It was spray painted silver, but had casino like stuff added to it...buttons to light service candles, plaques etc. It was $100 I couldn't afford to spend...but would have. I guess it is good that it got away!
