Kyoraku Big Bang - Jaws question

Okay, question. What the heck does this potentiometer on the back of Jaws do?

I figured it'd be best not to twiddle it and find out, just in case it's voltage related.

And since this is my first Jaws-related post... holy hell that startup alarm is loud!

The Big Bang Frame on JAWS is notoriously loud at start up. I have one as well. My Jaws machine does have a three position switch for volume, however it does not effect the start up alarm. I have been toying with the idea of mounting an extra switch to disconnect the speakers at start up and then it can be switched back on after the alarm is done. Not sure what the thing you pointed out does on the back of the machine. I can check it out on mine when I get home from work. If I remember

Yes, definitely! I was planning to wire in a switch eventually.

Okay, now go turn that red pot on the back of yours and tell me if anything interesting or catastrophic happens.

I wired volume controls into the frame. I turn the tweeters all the way down when I power up

OH! and that "pot" is a reset button, so spin it around all you want. If you hold it down when powering up, it will reset the machine.
