need help with a New Trad Pachislo

My husband picked up the game at a yard sale for $20. The lock and key have been removed and the wires cut for it to the power source and where the lock should have been. Will this cause the game to not work at all or is it possible that something else is causing it. It powers on and the lights work, a red light comes on on the mother board and it tries to make sounds, but does nothing else. The lady said that her son it a jackpot on it and they don't know how to reset it, but I have never seen one without a fairly simple reset. It only has a power switch and a toggle switch on the power source.

sorry I guess im blind... the only problems i see are a missing lock, missing light bulb and possable broken ground wire???

what wires are cut??? can you point them out better

just the one in the last picture in the box could be the ground wire you are seeing, no sure), the others look ok

I have this model, too. When you say it "tries" to make sounds... can you be more elaborate?

Do you have tokens in the hopper? What happens when you insert tokens? Does the counter increment? Do you get acknowledgement sounds? Can you start a spin? Etc.

It makes a humming noise, but no other noises. we have a few tokens in the hopper, but its not full. It will not start a spin and if you put a token or in the slot it just fall back out.

I almost missed Hanabi's edit...

Most pachislo's use tokens, which are slightly larger than what you were using. Thus, they just "fall back out."

A good source for pachi tokens can be found on ebay, etc. Search for Pachislo & tokens. Token size is 25mm.


Before you spend money on purchasing tokens, perhaps you should manually trigger the coin acceptor. That way, you can verify the electronics are working.

Of course, if your pachi *has* been modified, then more troubleshooting is necessary.
