Smile Goodwill find...vintage pachinko and Miller beer sign

Picked up another vintage pachinko this morning. This is the third pachinko I've found at the local Goodwill in the past 6 months! It is a Maruhon with a flower themed cell. It also has "Ultora" printed on the bottom tulip. It needs a good cleaning but the cell seems to be in very good shape..no water stains. On the down side...it is missing the ball tray on the back and the lower ball tray cover. I've made a lower ball tray cover out of sheet metal for another machine, so that's not a problem. I'm thinking of maybe a bread baking pan for the ball tray. Anyone have any other suggestions for a homemade ball tray? Also picked up a neat Miller beer sign for four bucks...lights up and is quite retro.

Yeah, I think a bread pan would work great The only problem is that it might be a little tall, you wil have to check your clearance before sacrificing the sunday loaf pan.

I routinely check goodwill and salvation army as I have for years looking for neat stuff "I can't live without" and have yet to see a pachi. It must be an east coast thing I guess.

I have routinly found that items are priced usually well below value and a lot that are priced above what you could buy new, for something like this I would assume they had somewhere like $15-$25 listed on it. We can't all be lucky, but maybe one day one will turn up in the local store and will be able to pick it up

I use plastic Ice Cube storage bins from Walmart for the losing ball catch bin. They cost about $1.80 each and they can be easily cut to fit your machine with a utility knife. I find them in the kitchen container isle.

It's the upper ball tray that's missing...maybe called the dump tray?

I have only seen one pachinko machine in all my years at thrifts stores/garage sales. It was so beaten up, and missing parts I had no idea what it was. They wanted $40.00 for it! Excellent find!
