    Default Blinded by the light!

This JUST happen to my Eva 5 Yesterday!

I turned my Eva 5 on to show somebody how fun and kewl it was and as it switched on like usual. It switched on and EVERY light lit blinding me and it kept repeating the same in in japanese I could pick out a word or to such as "please could you" it mentions the pachi's name and thats it!

I took an avi from my camera and took a piccie. I contacted Slot-pachinko since it IS still under warrentee. I was hoping with all the experts here somebody would at least know whats going on! Its not even 90 days old. My other two work JUST ducky and I am calm but a little upset at the moment! I did the best I could with the picture it is SUPER bright and blinding!

I tried on/off, plugging/unplugging etc. nothing is jammed anywhere I can see etc.

Thanks for everyone's input in advance!

I can't quite read the Japanese text on the screen (a clearer picture of just the display might help), but it looks like a standard ball jam / switch error message.

I'd clear _all_ of the balls from the machine (both front trays and from the hopper, payout unit) and then refill just the hopper and a handfull of balls into the shooter tray, and try again.

Could it be that the front door is open slightly?
My SW Vader has the same function if the door is even slightly open. Perhaps something is not allowing the door sensor to close all the way?

There should be a small black button on the back of the machine that you can push to reset it (not on the side where the on/off button is and it is kinda hard to get to - you might need a paperclip or something). That should fix the problem, and if not let us know!

Yes, could be a memory reset (like the newer Star Wars games). Button would be on the upper left of the back of the cell.

Ah Back from work! I knew I would find some answers when I got back! I will give it a whirl in a little. IF this does work it makes me wonder what happened! It was working fine! Its an AWESOME pachi and was working fine wish, I knew what caused it!

Looks like it wants you to press the reset button.

Yep had to go run some family errands... There are 2 buttons you can press. Only the one did anything after I pressed it. The machine did a funky reset. I turned the power on and off and now it works JUST peachy!!! Thanks everyone! JUST wish I new why I had hit the reset switch... Now another issue with my Yamato CR1... I post a ticket for that in a little... Flickering video image that goes blank periodically then comes back...
Thanks EVERYONE!!! (I'll let this be open incase anybody can tell me why it needed a reset... )

One button resets the payout memory, the other resets the game memory. If it senses that the game has been removed, or the power has been off for a while, it requires a reset of the game memory.

A customer of mine had that screen and lady speaking too and I told them to reset the machine. I think it is just as compirate said, the machine was powered off for a while. Similar thing happens to pachislos when powered off for a while and a simple reset clears it.

The newer Sankyo frames don't like to be without power too long.

If you don't power them up at least once a week, you'll get 'the warning'

There is also an alarm when the frame is open as well as the front door (these are easy to disable with a piece of tape )

There is probable a sticky about this some where but Its good knowing I was NOT too worried about it since it was in warren-tee but I am glad its as simple as button push!
