Bad radio reception

My new shop is a steel and block building. Radio reception is horrible! It's a rented space and they don't want anything big mounted on the outside of the building. Anyone know of something that can be mounted up in the attic just under the steel roof?
Did I mention it needs to be affordable, as in cheap.

try running a wire to the metal wall and use the wall for an antenna.

The inside is all insulated and drywalled.

make an antenna on a stand and put it outside when you get there and put it away when you leave.
