Default New owner turned on machine some type of error?

When I plug in the machine there is a female voice repeating a message in Japanese and a message in Japanese on the screen. I also realized that I need to purchase a volume adjustment kit. Unless there is some way to adjust the volume without it. I also need a key. Otherwise I will order the kit from Blue Hotaru and a key.

    Thanks,
    Dave

Try a reset. With the machine off, hold down the reset button (near power switch). Turn on machine, wait a few seconds for beep, and release reset switch.

With the power off I held down the reset button and turned on the machine. I never heard a beep. The message continues. I repeated this step several times with no luck.

    Thanks,
    Dave

You may be using the wrong button. I know I sometimes confuse them. Some machines have the button right by the reset key, and others have them inside the front door under a little flap. I'm not always sure what the difference is.
Anyone else? Could that be it?

First thing, Welcome to PachiTalk, and Congrats on your new Star Wars machine.

It does have a couple issues though..

There are two resets on this machine.

The first is by the switch that you've already found.

The second, is on the back lower corner, just above and right of the other reset. It's a very small black button, and doesn't move much.

If after pushing that reset, the condition continues, then there is a door sensor that has issues.

To find the volume control, open the back cover (large clear plastic cover on back of cell) by pulling the two black buttons on the left side.

Find the three postion slide switch, Top center, That's it

Ok, I found the second reset button gave it several tries and I am still getting the same error. I also noticed that the machine showed the numbers 1 and then 7 on the LED near the reset button. I will email Blue Hotaru regarding the issue. Are there any fixes for the door sensor issue.

    Thanks,
    Dave

I'm not totally sure since I don't know this frame, but I think on past Sankyo's error code 7 is payout hopper empty...and I think 1 might be a loose or disconnected cable??

So make sure that all cables and things are properly connected and make sure the reward hopper is full..

    And..

So you pushed the first button on the back of the game cell itself (which you are supposed to push with the machine already on) and it still talks to you and has the message on the screen, or are you now talking about the error LED display on the back?

By the way, a 7 means the hopper in the back is empty. Are there no frame lights except the top ones flashing red?

I don't have a Star Wars Vader yet, but a simple thing that people sometimes forget is the "fork" style shut off that is located to the right of the hopper on the ball track. Make sure this is not "In" the track. if you have one, lift it to the right and lay it on it's back. It's a gold anodized metal fork that allows you to shut off the ball track from the top of the machine.

    Dave,

I also sent you an email...

Error 1 means the main board signal is not yet connected, please check for loose wires.

Error 7 means balls cut off (out of balls), please make sure you put enough balls in the hopper and that they are feeding down the tracks.

    Try resetting again.

I am happy to report that it now works. The problem was that I was holding down the rest button when powering up. I hit the the reset button when already powered on and voila the problem is solved. Next step volume control.

Thank you so much for all the help.

Volume control is easy, There is a very nice one built into the cell.

Open the back (clear) cover, and look top, center, for the 3 position slider
