E8 Error on Star Wars Pachislo

I had an E8 error on my screen and it wouldn't go away. It now doesn't show the E8 on the screen but the same "cracked glass" graphic is on the screen. There is an LED that remains on inside on the strip of LEDs that light when you hit a button. I don't know what button corresponds with that LED though.

To the right there is a board with relays and the bottom LED comes on goes off and then stays on. I can hear the relay clicking too.

I don't know if I covered everything, but if anyone can lead me in the right direction to troubleshoot I'd appreciate it. I searched for E8 on the forum and the search function has issues with anything less than three characters. What I did find doesn't help much. I've heard about a dongle or something, but I don't see one on this unit.

Oops, I was about to answer this question thinking you had a pachinko. Nevermind.

The E8 error shows on some machines after it is powered off and not used for a while. It just needs to be reset to clear the error. See if the reset clears the image you're now seeing. Dongles are only on pachinkos.

Nope that didn't fix it. I did that first thing and after the third or forth power cycle and trying that it now has the same error screen but the E8 isn't there.

It's an error screen but doesn't have any specific error code.

Perhaps it is trying to tell you that it is lonely and wants the Star Wars Pachinko for company.

Well I turned it on today and did the reset again and now it is working. I have no idea why it wasn't working before, but it's ok now. I'll keep an eye on it and if I get the error screen again I'll post a pic of it.
