Anybody get a Spykee Yet?

Hi All,

The Spykee Spykee.org : the 100% unofficial Spykee site
has finally come out and is available on Ebay and I was wondering if anyone has gotten one yet. I would like one, but I have the feeling I would use it for five minutes and then never use it again. It would be cool to check out my house while I'm at work though.

I may get one to mess with my cats while I'm gone. I was looking on Amazon, but the price keeps going up and down it was a $287 then $283, and now $299. All sold by Amazon so they are just adjusting their prices on the fly I guess.

After reading the reviews of the Spykee and the Rovio, it its probably better to wait for the next generation. Sounds fun, however for $300 I want no problems. Well, I can deal with a few problems but the price would have to come way down.

You can control it by WiFi. That's how it works. They even make a Bluetooth version.

I have this thing called a wife that roams the house while i'm not home and calls me if anything goes wrong ..(god forbid she fix it ..I don't think its in her genetic code.)...She doesn't need batteries although has been known to kill a few ... Im pretty sure she'd kill something like this roaming her domain...

Sid 27 yrs has taught me they very rarely go off with out plenty of warning .You may not know what the hell their talking about but it is a warning none the less time to duck cause the flying pan comes next ...

I did some searching this morning and found that the price of Rovio and Spykee have dropped dramatically. There down to about 239 now. Also, With all the reviews out there...I am leaning more toward the Wowwee Rovio. It has a movable camera on it (spykees camera cannot be moved remotely) and it can move in more directions.

I will wait until after the holidays and see if the price drops more.
