    Default Question about a Button

I am new here and this is my First machine so I am still trying to figure everything out. I bought this machine from someone on craigs list it works perfectly so far. Just wondering what this one button is for. It is a green button on the coin Comparator that don't seem to do anything, I press it and it lights up green but thats about out, there is Jap writing underneath it so I dunno what it says, anywhere here is a pic.

The writing says メダルセンサー which reads 'Medal Sensor', but apart from that I have no idea what it's for.

You said this was on the "coin comparator board". Does this machine have a coin/token that is used to compare inserted coins to determine validity? Perhaps it has the ability to accept different coins, and that button is used in the programming? Many other coin-op machines use both methods, so it's feasible there might be some slots that use them...

I am not sure, I have tried pressing it while putting 6-10 of a different coin in and it still won't accept them so im not sure whats its for. It accepts the tokens fine just wondering what its for.
