I think you need to speak with Eddie!!

    Most people call it boring...

I have never played it so I can't comment on that,
although I'm told it makes a very good Pachinko Stand...

I believe that teqkng recently said that the 'boring' tag is unearned and that it is misunderstood and has not been played correctly. You might want to ask him. I'm not so sure that Eddie 'loves' his Million GOD to death... but he is a champion of the underdog and has taken it upon himself to exalt the virtues of an otherwise unloved machine... much as he takes worn vintage machines and lovingly restores them to their former glory.

Ok I will pipe up I recently resurected one of my Gold X (Million God) I love it and I will be happy to tell you the secrets to enjoying the unit. I happen to love it. you are playing the VIDEO reels for the most part until the "Exception" spins and games including the Bonus rounds. it tends to break up your ability to be an "EYE SHOOTER" and makes it a real challenge. The bonus rounds are widely varied and rich but in all japanese. If you have any questions PM me and I will send you my Phone #. Birdbrain is also rumored to have one so check him as well for a second opinion.

I sold one to a customer who didn't know anything about the machine and found it very very boring. The customer than bought an Aladdin from me and is much happier. I decided not to sell them anymore, but if you really really want one I will sell one to you and make a small donation to PT.

Yes If you play the mechanical reels it tends to come up with the same combination time after time after time. If you ignore the mechanical reels and play against the Video based reels until what I call "Special" spins when the machine shoots fire or ice or water or question marks you are playing the mechanical reels. No other machine I have ever played works that way. Power one up and approach it in that manner and you will see what I am talking about. We actually should post a manual on how to play the Million god and Gold X, It will likely increase the value of the machine drastically.

I just sent Sid a page that I am going to write up an instruction manual on the play for the Gold X and Million DOG (just for LD's puppy). and try to add a few vid clips as well as photos. Excuse the dust on the machine it has been on a rack in the warehouse for a year or two. and BTW I now have the memory mod to show, even though my battery wore out in storage. I have to look into the possibility of doing it inside the power supply.

Yeah... I played Million God when I was in an arcade in Japan and found it to be same. It's just not... as interactive as I like my machines to be.

(By the way, I will take this opportunity to state how much I -really- like that avatar. Naussica, yes?)
Currently Own: Nothing. I play mostly online now.

Yip, This one is a GOLD X, it is the same thing but I found out the difference, the GOLD X has added and Different themes in the bonus', and 3 levels of big bonus, 2 big bonus' and a Super bonus for hitting a medalion combination within one of the big bonus' (The Famed multi1000 token payout possibility, is a big bonus round within a big bonus round) it does not hit often but when it does it can go crazy if you are good at eye shooting the upper reels. My GOLD X, is pretty worn on the play platform and the gold is close to worn off otherwise it is perfect. I have to crack it to show the memory mod I made to keep the time and date going. but I promised Sid I was going to write a playability handbook over the next couple of weeks. I am thinking to post it as I write it in its own thread so people can try doing what I suggest on their own machines along with some revised play techniques.

TIP # 1. Play against the Video reels NOT the mechanical reels first and watch the difference in play. (Hint Ignore the "Rainbow" numbers, they are will confuse the heck out of you) look for the 1s and 7s.

Yes! Thank you. Years ago Nausicaa Valley of the Wind was my first introduction to Hayao Miyazaki anime films. I love them and own them all (in original Japanese of course with English subs).
