I watched part of the Mr. Vampire movie the other day (didn't have time to watch it all). If you can appreciate Asian horror/comedies with the odd sense of humor, it's a fun watch. The movie must have done well since they made at least 3 sequels.

    They are available from Netflix.

Mr. Vampire arrived at a little after noon today

The outside of the box was in excellent condition and it was delivered on its side.

The packing inside was just scary, 2 pieces of cardboard cut and folded down to hold the machine in place.

Machine was bubble wrapped with cardboard over the glass and also shrinkwrapped.

I found the transformer had broken loose on one side and bent the bracket they are back to using 2 screws instead of 4. its an east fix.

the glass survived the trip and the balls were nice and shiny, shrinkwrapped and in a sandwich bag.

They are asking for trouble shipping these with no feet, a newbie may tip it over and damage it. I had to be very careful while checking it out.

except for the transformer it was plug and play, the pachinko looks like it is brand new, except for some dust on ball tracks,

the case is differnet but it does look good, the lights chase around the frame in idle and flash differently in play.

this is a pretty loud one and volume controls are needed, and I love the large LCD screen.

I give samuraislots a 9.5 rating on this one, a little better packing, feet and 2 more screws on transformer would have got them a 10

After playing about 2,500 balls on Mr. Vampire, I got a challenge round first, then a fever round

then another challege round with another fever

This isn't really a scary pachinko, the music is Japanese themed and the song the girl sings in fever is part english and part Japanese and very nice.

It has a lot of Japanese mystical animals, A white tiger, dragons and all in 3d effect on video reels.

the girl and the full moon show up a lot on the screen along with the monks.

when he slashes his sword it goes across the whole cell in different directions.

the roulette wheel has only flashed different colors so far, I don't know if it does anything else yet.

The door design and color grows on you after awhile
