    Default Texas Auctions on ebay

Anyone dealt with Texas Auctions on ebay for a modern pachinko?

Seem to have a pretty good selection. I know they are the distributor for Republic Industries out of Dallas.

Yep, my Thunderzone came from them. Although I don't care for the 6 months warranty - the machine came perfect! Two days from purchase and spit shined... 8) I would pay a premium for their machines... well to a point..

I purchaced my Dragon Chance (they call it Red Dragon) pachinko machine from TA.

The first one arrived with some of the LED's not working.

They issued a UPS call tag to ship the bad machine back, and shipped me a different machine. That machine works just fine.

While it would have been nice if they had thrown in some free balls for my troubles, I wouldnt hesitate to buy from them again.

I have bought three pachinkos from them -- two were perfect and one had more wear than it should and pitiful touchup work on the case face around the ashtray.

    Overall, I was quite satisfied.

Curtis is a master salesman with his upbeat descriptions. Just remember, the actual game you get will not be the one in the photographs for the ad since the ad is recycled over and over.

Next, you have to read between the lines on what Curtis is really saying.
For example, "The sound is indescribable" usually means " It's nothing to get excited about". Or, "They liked it so much that they bought two, didn't want to know how to play it and ordered two more a few days later" translates to"There's a sucker born every day."

Curtis' date the game was received is posted in a way that could lead you to believe the game is fresh from the pachinko parlor and is only a few months old. In reality, the games are usually two or more years old and those which are really newer will command a premium with a high minimum opening bid.

Shipping and packing is top notch and speedy to boot. The guarantee is average but, if any problems are going to arise, they should happen during the first few days of use. Usually all the lights and features will work as I really think they DO clean and service the games.

You nailed this one down tight!

    Curtis is quite the wordsmith.

We should offer a service whereby we decipher the ads of these vendors. :smt101

    Default Texas Auctions

 I have bought most of my machines from Texas Auctions. I find them to be very reliable and they do what they say they are going to do. A couple of my machines got somewhat rattled during shipping and I needed to make a minor adjustment to get them working. The technical person was very helpful. I also find the descriptions of the machine as to how the jackpots work is very helpful.

Resent another e-mail this morning, no reply.

I think I might skip this round of bidding on this vendor's machines.

Someone please explain this logic to me. Either from the sellers side or the buyers side.. :-?

Here we have an auction currently running at $305 with 2 days left.

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...10049&rd=1 Dead Linc

Here we have the same machine from the same vendor with a buy it now for $199

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...59161&rd=1 Dead Linc

Why would the vendor put a buy it now on an item that is currently selling for over $100 more and why would a buyer continue with an auction to pay this much more for one they can get "right now" and save a bunch :?: :?: :?: :?:

I think the seller has made a mistake. The only reason I see for having a buy-it-now at the same time as an open auction is to use the buy-it-now to help establish a reasonable price for the auction. That is you list the by-it-now for a little more than you would expect the auction to go for. His price for the buy it now, is about right - any other time of the year. Maybe he's just so busy that he's not paying attention to the other auctions he has running and is just going with his pre-existing plans.

At this point the high-bidder can't "legally" drop out and take the other machine. So he's pretty much stuck. But anyone with a lower bid (or maybe a scheduled snipe) should certainly take the other machine. And anyone that joins the bidding at this point is an idiot. Of course, there are a lot of newbies coming on to eBay every day. Many don't know the basics - like how to search for similar items. They'll learn if they stick around long enough.

i've seen that a lot, newbies don't check other items for sale.

a lot of machines have been selling for more than the same dealers have on thier website.

the dealers must love it
