For me you cannot beat the thrill of doing it yourself, with just few seconds to go. I have even been known to get up at 2, 3, 4 o'clock in the morning to try snipe things that were finishing in the States.

my good ole finger. actually sniped a pachi with 1sec to go with my finger. I have a 386k connection and I hit the "confirm bid" button 4secs. before item ends, so by the time it uploads to fleabay, the auction only has 1-2secs. to go....

Ahhh the thrill of doing the job yourself...

I also prefer the "do-it-yourself" way, but if an item is scheduled to end while I'm at work, I use SnipeStation with a 8-10 second snipe. It's free, but donations are accepted there.

    THIS PLACE ROCKS !

That works for me. The fingers, a stop watch and I can usually win with 5 to 1 seconds left. The challenge for me is to win with 1 second and 1 cent over the other persons max bid. Silly.......I know. But we all have to have goals.....:lol8:

not silly at all.. its all part of the fun..... anyone can win something if they snipe it for a Million dollars when the showing bid is 2.50 it takes a special kind of nerves of steel calculate all the possibilities and figure out that you need to bid 2.64 as the guys max bid is probably 2.63
