You could always rename the FAQ 'Click here to stop the Buzzing!', that would get people in the door, but how to get them to read???

Okay, I could make the FAQ cookie based and once read it would bypass the buzzing sound.

About getting them to read it, that's tough. I could set up a quiz based on it and if you can't get 80% right, the buzzing continues.

A quiz, that sounds good....but this would be for new members only, right?

You should have something like a pop-up that recognizes any thread starting with the words: Help, How do, Reset, WTF, etc. The user could then open it if needed or close it if not. The pop-up could say something clever....I'm sure you could come up with something

Maybe it's like instruction manuals, nobody reads them.

How many of us have bought something and just hooked it up or turned it on without reading them!!!!!!!

I have noticed that on the screen which asks you to set the time, the text at the bottom is the same as on the 2 buttons.. But no buttons do anything!!

I look forwards to peoples answers/suggestions.

The two buttons are to set the time and date and scroll through some of the other menus. The fist button will select the item on the menu and the second is basically the enter button. Same setup as the Hanabi. If you Leave the machine unplugged for a long period of time it will reset the date and time back to the original setup.

Cheers.. I worked it ou in the end.. The key to the problem is the fact that you don't just 'press' the buttons.. You have to "press and hold" them (for about a second) for them to work.
