I knew I would get a responce from you on that.

I played it for a very short while once and thought it was beautiful, looks and sound.

Rupan, would you say its on level or not as good as my current (older) pachinko machines?

(Ask Mark if you don't believe me.)

Maybe he just lost big bucks on that one.

    It's one of my favorites.

I did lost a little on it but I've lost a lot on pretty uninteresting machines before (CR Battle Hero anyone...?).

The following is my opinion: LoTR was just a colossal waste of a big and probably very expensive license and thus a colossal letdown. There was nothing particularly original or interesting about it, it utilized a reused ROM without any particular original touches added to it, and unfortunately followed a very stale pachinko formula. The graphics are gorgeous enough but that's the only real positive. If you like it, go ahead and get it but, again IMO, the two machines that you have now are superior albeit less glitzy and refined.

If I remember correctly, it's listed in the museum as "Cherry Blossom Full Bloom".

EDIT: It's Sakura (Flower Full Bloom) over there.

It really is ridiculous when considering how often (every time I sit at it) the machine hits a FEVER round. Now, my other pachinko will go weeks without giving a BONUS round (and I play this one way more) and even when it does, the most it has given me is about 5 rounds. (by this I mean getting an additional bonus/fever during the chance stages)
I wish mine was that generous, I've played mine for 4 nights now and never had a fever round.

Well after 5 nights and still nothing I decided to follow the nail guide I found on PachiTalk. It does seem that my machine came from perhaps the meanest parlour in Japan!

I altered 6 pins only, and the alterations are so fractional you wouldn't know they were there unless you were looking but now the machine actually pays out from the bottom 3 holes (I only ever saw it do it once before) and many more balls go into the central flat area which for me personally is fun to watch.

Average payout has risen from 50 per 400 to about 150 and the game is far more fun to play.

I'm still waiting for a fever though

I think someone in a different thread suggested a full reset, as the machines sometimes go into Fever shortly after - have you tried that one yet?

I had tried the full reset a couple of nights ago to no avail BUT..... tonight the constipation cleared!!!

woohoo talk about chaos - 3 consecutive FEVER rounds and a full 20 minutes where my ball level stayed the same (it pays out the same as I put in)

From a tub of 400 balls I got 17 1/2 tubs back totalling 7000 balls.

    I'm a happy camper

Good news indeed, I'm glad you lost your Fever cherry. The only trouble is, it tends to build up the anticipation and frustration more waiting for the next one, once you know what you're in for!
