Recently bought my first pachinko machine and I’ve been enamored with it. Currently working my way slowly through restoration, but I made the mistake of using brasso on the chrome frame surrounding the playfield.
The chrome was already in ok shape when I first got it, but I figured a polish wouldn’t hurt —I was wrong.
The portion I brassoed is now completely dull, although it was once nice and reflective. Looks more like aluminum now.
Is it possible to fix this by wet sanding the area with increasing grit sandpaper and then buffing it with something?
